Posted - Nov 04 2008 : 07:46:24 AM I bought this new lamp because I wanted the crystals that are hanging on it. But then when I got it home and cleaned it up I thought maybe its not such a bad lamp, and I should leave the crystals on it. So for now I have a new four dollar lamp. Beautiful day here today, 70 out. really weird. And the air smells so good. I did a lot of house work really early this morning, then I have been outside raking leaves for about two hours. Just came in for a bowl of cereal and some coffee, and to put that lamp on my site. Now I'm off to do some more raking, the leaves are nice and dry and so its not a real hard job.

Posted - Nov 04 2008 : 12:18:54 PM I love your lamp and I'm casting my vote for leaving it as is and looking for more crystals. That's just another good reason to keep checking out the thrift store....it does look very Victorian. Weirdly it is like 60 degrees here, a soft wind and just a few clouds sprinkled in the sky...

Posted - Nov 04 2008 : 10:09:09 AM What a find.....I am always looking for some kind of find. The lamp looks really at home in your picture. It's funny how you sometimes are looking at something one way then your thoughts change and you see it in a new light.

Posted - Nov 04 2008 : 08:34:13 AM Thank you Dawn, I needed someone to tell me it wasn't really an awful thing. I knew I loved the crystals, just wasn't sure about the lamp.

Posted - Nov 04 2008 : 07:53:25 AM I love that lamp! That was a really great deal you got on it. Can I go shopping with you?
It is supposed to get to 73 here in the Chicago area. We had summer return last week & it will be leaving here by the weekend. It is weird to see all the trees in their full autumn splendor while raking in my shorts! But our interesting Midwestern weather is going to throw us a curve ball, they are calling for snow on Saturday! It's never dull here by the great lakes.
