Today was such a wonderful day. It was a gathering of gals who share a love of a simpler life, creativity & ok, I admit, Shopping.ol!
Today a handful of us MaryJane Farm gals gathered or should I say, Took over Rosalia Washington, a small town with a population of 647.
Michelle aka hunckleberrywine gave some of us a fun little tour of downtown Rosalia.
Brenda & I managed to find a terrific 2nd hand shop, then a gaggle of us met up in the little Art Studio where MaryJane was having her book signing.
How fun to gather & gab and make plans for our next get together.
It was great to see Amanda, Tanya, AmyGrace, Brenda, Karin, Michelle, Renee, and of course as always, MaryJane.
There was apple pressing going on across the street and face painting for the lil wee folk and a real tractor pulled-hay ride through town. For this former city girl it was a step back into time, sort of a real "Mayberry". All I needed to see to make it all complete, "Andy, Opie & Aunt Bee"....
Hugz & Thanx to both Michelle & AmyGrace for sharing their town with
all of us today.
I posted a picture on my blog. I would have added more pic's but this dawgone satelite system has been going out a lot so, mabe at a later time I can post more.

OH, if only we had time to see all the cute homes for sale...I'd love to have you guys as neighbors. Though I have to admit, I'm thankful we are neighborly enough to enjoy these get-togethers. Can you just imagine how much fun the 4th will be, when our far-off neighbors get to come play too? So neat. I'll have to pass on how much you all enjoyed it here. I'm glad you came. It really was a fall highlight!

We did have a great time . . . and if it helps my little nieces call me Aunt "B"!! Close enough! I think if it was possible to get high on soap then Karen and I would have been leaping through a field of daisies! Absolutely amazing scents on the fabulous homemade soaps. I adored Rosalia and found myself wishing I lived there. From the sweet gal that owned the coffee shop and quilted gorgeous quilts to the darling gal that owned the wonderful victorian home the craft sale was in, I kept thinking, "I could fit in here . . . they could be some great friends . . ." and of course our darling Michelle (Huckleberry Wine) is already an upstanding community member!

I will post some pics on my blog later today . . . am fighting off a sinus infection, so kind of down for the count again. I swear, after two sinus surgeries, I am about ready to have a head transplant! LOL!

Suzie, we would love eto have you join our Farmgirl chapter. It is a mix of Spokane and Cheney and Medical Lake girls since they all kind of run together. Email me and we will add you to our list!

Hugs & blessings,

Brenda

Here I am a day late (well, more than a day late ) and a dollar short! Ha! We did indeed have a great time. I sure did and thank you so much Michelle for the guided tour of the town. The architecture tour was super and I loved that old church. Hopefully the town will be able to restore it into a useful place to celebrate. It was so so so fun meeting all the farmgals, Grace, Brenda, Michelle, Amy, Rene, the lovely town ladies and of course, Mary Jane. I got an autograph on my book and she had me sign her apron! Ha! I missed meeting Theresa Sue from Teako as she had been in town earlier. For those of you who don't know I live in Cheney and I am a Karen with an e, sorry, Karin in Spokane Valley! Ha! Yes, Huckelberry Wine) Michele I am from cheney but as you can see I am kpaints not yiberryyadeekarin (sorry karin). No biggie! Yes, lets see where we can all meet again. Love these little towns, aren't their some farmgals in St. John? Anyway, can't wait to do it all again. Suzie hopefully you can join us next time and next time you are on your way home stop in and see me. I have joined up with Brenda and Grace in their chapter and the next meeting is Nov. 8th at Grace's in Airway Heights. Maybe you could join us. Email me and I will get you in touch with Grace. Karen

I loved that little 2nd hand store where Brenda & I found all those goodies...sure wish I had bought that Bernina sewing machine... I am so bummed! dumb dumb dumb!
I am going to scrounge up a couple of auto license plates to use as roofs on the boots that I bought to convert into Birdie houses. I love the little vintage sewing goodies that Brenda & I found as well.

What, you missed Andy, Opie, and Aunt Bea?! Some tour guide I am. See, now, you'll have to come back! There are so many treasures in small towns. You just have to know what to look for, where, and a bit of history. Karin the Cheneybaglady makes to-die-for totes and is a blast, YiberryYadeeKarin! Can't wait for you to meet her. We really had fun checking out the old buildings in town. Sounds like I'd better find out when our next town to-do is and see what we can do!

Maybe I'm just having a senior moment but I don't remember there being another Karin in this area! Who are you and where do you live, another "Karen with an i"?

Sorry I couldn't join all of you local farmgirls. ={
