I have been REALLY struggling with school, let's just say the grades are doing too well and my time management stinks. Seems like a million things popped up all at once and I am the only fireman with a bucket to put them out. I was talking with a lovely lady at the hospital who went through a similiar college progam as mine and barely scraped by by her teeth. She is a upper level manager now. She told me not to worry, just pass and move on. If I don't do well and I tried, even a Masters program is not out of reach. Makes me feel better.

See Jessie, that is how I feel. I busted my behind to get a 3.8 for my Associates but with the classes ramping up in time and content, I am doing my best. I just need C's to graduate. An actually, I had a friend who did AWFUL in college and when she went to get her Master's, she only had to write a paper stating why they should let her in with such a low GPA- like a 2.2 or something. She wrote the paper and is now working on her PH.D. : )

Suzanne is totally right...as long as you pass, that's all that matters at university. I killed myself making A's in college, only to find out it hardly matters at all! I graduated with a 3.4 GPA, and I'm just an administrative assistant, whereas my roommate (who flunked an ENTIRE TERM) and barely graduated at all is a higher manager at a really good company!

once i actualy am at the university i will worry less about my grades. for now, i have to keep them up so i don't loose my transfer. my "official" acceptance wont come until the end of this semester.

Girls, Just remember, employers ask if you have a degree, not what your grades were or for a transcript...that helps take the pressure off a little...

Thanks, girls. I'm sure Heather and I can both use all the encouragement we can get these days... don't forget Alee either, I read somewhere she is working on mid-terms.

My style is varried. I love the classic detailing of the 1920's and before, but I tye it in with a lot of bohemian/punk. Sounds crazy, but it actualy works. My big thing is I want to design clothes for REAL women. Every woman deserves to look great and feel sexy.

Best of luck to all you college farmgirls! I went to junior college part-time 10 years ago and though I had a great GPA, I had to work my tail off. I had two part-time jobs, my family, home and school to take care of. It was very hard. I can't imagine how you do it working full time!

I keep reminding myself that one day all the silly people who made fun of my clothes will be wearing what I design. That makes me laugh vindictively and keep going:-0

Corinne- (((HUGS)). My GPA has dropped so much that the teachers asked me what was going on. Once I explained, they were more understanding. I am taking 17 credits this semester, trying to graduate next Summer. I am going to keep pushing it and like you said, one day it will be over and I am going to burn my textbooks and do a happy dance. : )

I'm there too, Heather. I am working full time and going to school and feel like I'm drowning. There is no time for anything besides what is absolutly necessary. My mom just finished school a few years ago and keeps telling me it will be over soon, but she didn't have as much on her plate at one time as I do. Last week I skipped two classes because I was just too burned out to deal with them.
