Gold right now is up to around $900.00 an ounce. Back in the 80's, I was the gold QVC queen. Now, all I wear are earrings. I cleaned out my jewelry box and gathered up necklaces, bracelets, old earrings and anything with gold in it that I no longer wear. I brought it into a jewelry store that posted a sign saying that they buy gold and silver. There were five necklaces that have to be tested, but the stuff that was good brought in an astonishing amount! I was in shock (and very pleasantly surprised)! I put it in the bank, and will use it to pay off a bill, or make an extra mortgage payment. When I came home, I did more 'treasure' hunting and came up with a few more items. So ladies.....if you have any gold jewelry laying around you no longer wear, cash in now! You'll be happy you did! :)

There was just a story on the news yesterday about gold parties that people are doing. A person who purchases gold comes to your home, you invite guests, they bring their gold, and they get checks that night. The gal that buys the gold has a scale and a test kit. Then she takes the gold, melts it down, and sells it. Everyone looked they were having a great time and happy with the checks they got.

Judy- You probably didn't mean it as such, but what you just did was cash out on an investment! What a great idea to help stretch that budget a little more.

Also, if you don't have a place nearby that buys gold, you can do it online. Just make sure you do your homework and the site has a good BBB rating.
