We go every year. (Yes, we're groupies!) We just attend, not participate. It's this coming weekend 10/11 & 10/12. I highly recommend going! They have authentic early American food, music & entertainment, craft demo's (my girls love to watch the weavers!) canoe races and more.
We've learned about dying wool - how they did it 200 years ago. How the Native Americans lived, about the different types of canoes over the years and more.
I've also bought some great homemade soaps and other wares as well. (My favorite is the maple candy - yummy!)
Oh, and they even have mock battles too! I can't wait!!

Posted - Oct 07 2008 : 05:19:48 AM That looks like a lot of fun! I'd make the road trip to go except our church is having their annual Jesus In The City festival this weekend.
Maybe I'll be able to attend next year!
