o.k. ya'll ... let's try again with this little 'drawing for a vintage apron and cookbook' ... i think to make sure i don't 'duplicate' questions that have been asked before .. i'll just ask everyone who wants their name in the 'basket' for the drawing .. to just put their FIRST NAME and FORUM name ... (one time only please) in a message in this 'thread' ... when we have about 25 names .. i'll do the drawing. xo, frannie

p.s. has to be 'you' .. rather than 25 of your best friends. xo

Thank you Frannie for sending the cutest, and now my new favorite, apron. I look froward to trying some new recipes out of the sweet cookbook. It is so kind of you to share your tresures with us.
I believe there are a quite few girls in the area that would enjoy such a get together. We will work on that in the spring. Thank you again. Ivy

Ivy .. the only other mj farmgirl that i've noticed on the 'connection' is KAY. next spring .. we'll put out a call for anyone who wishes to travel this way .. i can send honey hunk on a 'backpacking' trip .. and if the girls want to bring their jammies .. they can spend the night. (we have three guests beds (and a few cots somewhere) frannie

good evening miz maryjane! i'll surely send one of my favorite aprons your way ... (i really love my olde homespun ones most i think!) (will tuck in a special one for you too!)

did craig mention our trip down the Snake River a couple years ago? i can't swim and am 'very respectful' (translation: 'pee-my-underoos' scared!!) of fast running water .. but i think i surprized them all as i stood in front of the raft as we hit 'niagra falls drops' and screamed at the water-gods! (actually, i felt VERY safe with craig at the helm ... hmmmmm .. does a rubber raft actually have a 'helm'? and craig can cook some killer 'dutch oven' dishes .. we ate like kings and queens on that trip!

if honey hunk had his way .. we would be moscow farmers .. but it was just tooooooo far away from my 'baby girls' (ha! who are 35 and 40!!!) and all my grand-chillun!

do you know karen lewis? what an absolute love and doll she is! she took me to the farmer's market when i was last there .. bet i bought something yummy from you and didn't know it was you!

and oh my yes .. i have fallen madly and deeply in love with these rolling hills of kentucky! quite a 'cultural difference' from washington, d.c. ... but oh so perfect for this 'chapter in our book of life'.

will share, soon, my 'love story' with hunkie-hankie .. would love to hear how all the farmgirls met the love of their life.

p.s. hank says: 'don't believe a word that Lewis or Landeck say about his rugby-playing .. it's all lies!

xo, frannie

Hey Frannie,
How about a swap? Pick out your favorite apron. I'll pick mine and then send it your way. I'm hoping you'll autograph mine with some great Kentucky food. Then, when you wander this way to visit Craig and Ron, etc. we can swap 'em back and tell apron stories in Julie's kitchen. (Craig tells me you're a great storyteller but us posting farmgirls already knew that!) You should tell the girls how you met your "honey hunk"....what a great story. Loved it! Hearing from Craig that you almost settled in Moscow makes me sad. It'd be fun to have you lighting up our neck of the woods. (I hear through the grapevine that in Kentucky you're a one-woman Chamber of Commerce.)

Frannie,
In the past, other farmgirls who did giveaways used a timeline cut- off rather than waiting for a number of people to respond. Say, like Wednesday at noon.
You might not get twenty five responses (very rarely do for drawings of this sort) or be waiting a LONG, LONG time to get your 25.If no one responds for a day or so, the post will just drop off because of inactivity.
Just a suggestion....
