Hey gals..I'm wanting to take a jaunt up to the area..with the hubby and kids too of course..and want to know..other than the aquarium, and a place called Audubon acres..what places would you recommend visiting.
We have already been to Ruby Falls last visit.
And to the Chickimaugua battle field.
Any other ideas?
thanks in advance.
We'll be staying at Cloudland for a few days then in Chattanooga for a few days.

Hey Tina, Glad you are coming up to Chattanooga, It is a great city with lots to do, The newly renovated river front is awsome, you can take a stroll across the Walnut St. Bridge to the North Shore and have Icecream at Clumpies, and shop at the nice stores that Kris mentioned. There is also some good places to eat. Chattanooga is forever changing in such positive ways, We welcome your visit!

Hey Tina, if the kids are younger, the Discovery Museum is great. The Incline Railway goes up to the Northern end of Lookout Mtn. wiht lots of things to do up there. On the other side of the mountain is Reflection Riding, a beautiful place where you can drive around ao walk through trails. They have a wildlife area with lots of rescued animals like eagles and a lynx, too. Of course there's Rock City, too. Also if the kids like trains, there is a railroad museum on Jersey Pike I think and the Chatt. Choo Choo.
When you leave Cloudland and turn left out of the park you'll be on Hwy. 136. Go down the mountain and there is a place called Hidden Hollow. It's beautiful there. They have cabins and also rustic camping, a lake and lots of other things to do if you like wilderness stuff. Then continue on down to the 4-way stop and turn right, in 8 miles you'd be at my place. It's so beautiful out here. Also about 4 miles from my house is a place called the Pocket. Lots of trails and waterfalls. Great place to go hiking.
There really is a lot to do here in this area. If you like to shop, there is the North shore area full of eclectic shops.
If you need me to look stuff up for you before you come, let me know. And have a great time here. It's a great city.
