Posted - Sep 14 2008 : 3:15:38 PM Hi, My little boy's daddy (my X husband) is in Afghanistan in the Army. He has been there for 9 months now...3 left to go. I was thinking that some farmgirls might want to send him a card or letter of support. He's really getting tired of being there....we can tell by his emails. He says they are trying to just stay alive. I worry and say prayers and light candles often lately. Let me know if you could send something and I'll get the address to you. I could even send a pic to show ya him and the fellows with him. ![](icons/icon_smile_shy.gif) Linda in PA

Posted - Sep 15 2008 : 7:58:10 PM They were so excited I wanted a couple they gave me a bunch. Does anyone else want a singing card to send to Iraq? I also put one on the bar for the regulars to sign. When it gets full I'll mail it out. Does anyone have a VFW with a lounge or regular meetings? I can send some of these to you and have the groups sign them. Let me know and I will get them out to you.

Posted - Sep 15 2008 : 2:24:48 PM I would love to send something to him, I'll email as well. We have some cards at the local VFW donated from the hallmark store. They are for birthdays but they sing. It would be rather silly of us to send a bunch of Birthday cards to someone we don't know. Every time he opens it they sing. I love these cards.

Posted - Sep 15 2008 : 09:59:06 AM It has been weighing heavy on my mind lately that I should send letters and care packages to our soldiers, so this comes at a good time. Please count me in. It's time I sent a personal THANK YOU to all those men and women sacrificing so much of themselves so that MY family can sleep in peace at night. Thanks for posting this. Hugs~~ Tracy

Posted - Sep 15 2008 : 08:26:14 AM Linda, please send me his address also. I have a friend (loving husband and father of 2 older teens) at church that came back from Iraq last fall(?) and is being deployed again so I'm assuming it's to Afghanistan since they're pulling soldiers out of I and deploying to A. Will be saying a special prayer for all of you too.
