Posted - Sep 09 2008 : 09:20:00 AM Made cookies this morning. I was going to make some biscuits too. But will do that next. I have some good leftover roast beef from last night that will go good with them. Also tried my tablecloth project on the table, looks pretty good so far. And our Sandra "SAM" wanted to see a picture of my fireplace. Which I might add will be keeping us warm before long. Just a couple more days before Richard's surgery so he is trying to get everything around here under control. He's such a hard worker its hard for him to sit still. I keep running into him. When is he going back to work??

Posted - Sep 10 2008 : 7:46:11 PM Oh Nancy Jo...THANK YOU so much for putting your fireplace on your blog! It is gorgeous! Is it new, wood, gas, electric? It's a corner one...how cool is that! my "new" house that I have not bought yet has no fireplace in it and I must have at least a woodburner or several..I want one in the living room, one in the kitchen, and one in the bedroom...whew! I'm already tired from hauling wood! The tablecoth is beautiful! You work fast! It was just a little circle a few weeks ago! Your kitchen cabinets look just like mine here! Are they Kraftsmaid? And I too use the recipe from the oatmeal box...are we sisters or what? YUMMO....I need to make some...they looked great in that picture...I wanted to grab one or more. It's finally getting cool here..ahhh! thanks for sharing all your beautiful and tasty goodies!

Posted - Sep 09 2008 : 11:35:53 AM I wish I had some of those oatmeal cookies, it's cold and rainy here, I'm making tomato soup with onion and chipotle peppers and blue cheese biscuits. that is one advantage of cold weather, it gets us cooking up the good comfort food. Your tablecloth is greatt, I don't know if I would have the oomph to crochet something that large. Your fireplace is beautiful as well....
