I haven't called my doctor but I think I have an infection. My right kidney feels 'big' and like a Missouri mule kicked me to boot!

I've been taking some BP meds and just recently upped it to the next level and I'm wondering if that had something to do with it.

Also, something has blossomed and I've been sneezing my head off, alson with runny nose and itchy eyes.

I feel a bit fatigued too. I drank a whole bottle of cranberry juice too. I can't do that too often due to the added sugar in the juice.

Any ideas or thoughts? I've never done any sort of drugs, other than prescription, and think my system may be a bit touchy. Still I hurt!!

Thank you... I'm going to call the Dr. when they open.

I drank the cranberry juice last nite and it 'seems' this morning that my kidney isn't as 'big'. Doesn't hurt as bad either. My sneezing is gone too. It's been raining heavily and I'm guessing holding the pollen down.

Anyway, still calling the doc.

BP meds is what they put you on for kidney disease as well (I have kidney disease but low bp-my bp is 80/50, so you can imagine with the bp meds for my kidneys-ace inhibitors, it's even lower now, and freaks nurses out! WAY out!). So bps meds should not make your kidneys worse, but better, as it makes the blood vessels to the kidneys better-bigger, and alive, instead of small and dying.

Get thee to the dr!

I took some horse pill sized sulfa pills and it didn't seem to do much good. Maybe need more and for longer.

fiona, I drive a big rig long haul and try to drink lots of water. My BP also has a diuretic in it too so you can imagine a truck that has to stop all the time!!

I think it's time I just go to bed...*sigh*...

Well obviously call your Doctors nurse and see what she/he says. I'd also suggest water, as much as you can stand. That Cranberry juice could be taxing your system as well. Water is always good. As for the sneezing, if you've got local honey you can add to your diet that might help. A good dusting or changing your sheets won't hurt either. Nettle tea will clear out your system as well. Hubby drinks it almost daily to keep his body running well.

Please get to a doctor soon! I had a kidney infection last spring that lasted a couple of months. The pain got very nearly unbearable, to the point of passing out when I tried to stand up. It took sulfa and four different antibiotics before it finally was under control.
