Just a reminder to vote today in your local/state elections! It is a right and a privilege! Let your voices be heard!

Due to the damage down here, they moved our elections to Saturday. I will be there with my one vote !!!!

Congrats to the winners listed above. I love when good down home people step up to the plate to represent us.

Congrats Frannie! Our dear Cindylou's husband, Aaron Ament, won a seat on our City Council last night. Hooray!!!! It's his first term. We're so proud of him.

we just returned from a five-day trip to Ohio where our 'son-in-love' was running for City Council in Toledo (he won!) his second term! he's going for a 'state' office next term! we're so proud of him .. i've worked for politicians all my life in washington, d.c. and finding 'honorable' ones is such a pleasure .. and we are so proud that he has held to truth and honesty.

and yes! honorable politicians surely do exist .. find the good ones in your voting district and make your voice ring loud and clear in both campaigning and voting for them! xo, frannie

We have an issue before us in our county right now - whether to become involved with coal as a fuel source. Our environment (air) here is pretty darn clean and we have good environmental laws, but now the county wants to get a coal plant. I am very hesitant, and will probably vote no. Do any of you have coal plants nearby your city/farm? I would like to make an informed vote.

I just got home from voting..we have a really crummy mayor right now so I am sure hoping the other candidate wins...she can't be worse!! A friend of ours is running for city council and would make a real difference so my kids and hubby ran around passing out flyers for him here in our neighborhood while I made supper last night. I hope he wins too!!

Remember my dear friend/neighbor Mrs.M???
She called me from her bed this morning to see if I had voted yet today. It was 8:15!!!
She always says over and over .."it's a right and a privilege".
Her husband lost an election once by one vote...so you can never say
"oh, my little vote doesn't matter" to her!! She will read you the riot act and then you will hear a great story afterwards!

VOTE!

In the county where I live it is all vote by mail. I dropped my ballot off this AM! Thanks for the reminder.
