what cha'll got planned for thursday? i'm about brain dead from all the runnin' of the roads today .. can't even think about anything beyond brushin' my teeth and hittin' the 'piller' now!

stayed up waaaaaaaay tooooo late last night. after dinner and a movie and a little shoppin' with a gurlfren .. i came home .. hit the computer .. finished up Tea Party invitations for Sofia .. vegged out in my 'yummie chair' and watched a show or two ... STILL i got SEVEN hours of sleep in!
bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning.
i wanna' string up those green beans and beets! then finish packing all the American Girls for grand-daughters .. and start fixing up some fun 'glitzy' goodie bags for the party. i wanna' get those boxes outta' the 'stranger room'!!! have to put the finishing touches on a couple porch pillows .. oh lordy! i have to water all the plants (i've been remiss since honey hunk is out of town .. he usually does this .. and they are startin' to DROOP! THEN .. i gotta' take a quick trip to town .. hit the postie, the bank and glovers' station. OH!!! and i gotta' pull together a buncha vintage fabric pin cushion kits for kathy sugarbuckets bit Cabin Sale and Show on Saturday! WHEW! ... lotsa' little things to do!

Thanks Frannie! Sounds like you are on FAST time!
I don't really have a recipe for my applesauce, usually I just core and quarter a bunch of apples, throw them in a big pot with some cider or water, cook til they are mushy, then run them through the food mill to get off the peels and give it the right texture. I really like to use three or four different varieties, but since we have our own trees now, I just used the ones we have. I thought it was more bland than what I usually make, so I threw in a bit of brown sugar and cinnamon. Generally, I don't sweeten it much because I like to put it in muffins and other baked goods that already have sugar in them, and I think it is great just the way it is! |

soooooooo .. TODAY is WEDNESDAY? lordy ... time flies when you're havin' FUN! i swear when you are 'retired' .. every day is FUNDAY! well now! GOOD TO KNOW! that gives me 24 more hours to live!
anyhoo... today ... WEDNESDAY ... i'm gonna' jus' do a buncha' stuff around the cabins.

Well, I don't know about Thursday, but today is my 3rd anniversary to my dear husband, but, he has a meeting tonight so we really won't be doing much. I repainted my laundry room over the weekend so now I have to put my new hardware on the cabinets and shelves and get them back up. I will probably make ssome more applesauce from all the apples I picked from our trees yesterday. Overall, not a really "thrilling" day! |
