Posted - Sep 02 2008 : 04:37:59 AM anyone got any fun plans for today? what cha'll doin'? (ha! i jus' realized .. we have our own TWITTER thing goin' here each day!)
i'm gittin' offa' La Machine in a moment .. gonna' meet up with miz LUNA for another fun day of antiquing .. heading to Southern Kentucky .. Bowling Green and beyond.
gotta' stop at Horse Cave and pick up several dozen gourds for kathy sugarbucket for her fun 'autumn garland' class she's teaching at our Gurlfrenz Gathering here October 11/12.
I'm always on the look-out for 'grey metal pie pans' .. (i saw a few in Cave City a few days ago with luna .. and passed on them .. they were a tad high at $10. each .. but i keep thinking of them .. soooo .. i guess that means i should go back and git' em! AND i want a wonderfully long 'pointed end' EARLY apple-picking ladder to put across beams in our kitchen. AND .. i'm looking for a in GREAT condition small cast-iron stove to use in our treehouse outpost .. and i'm always on the lookout for olde unique Cast Iron Cookware. Soooooo .. even though i am indeed 'down-sizing' there is always something antique to collect.
anyone else out there an 'antiqueaholic'? xo

Posted - Sep 02 2008 : 06:02:38 AM Frannie, I love Magaline's in Cave City--is that the shop you were referring to? I haven't been this year, but I always enjoy spending the day there--and it just about takes a whole day if you look at everything. Hope you find your goodies. I usually don't find what I set out to find, but end up with things I had no intention of buying!!!

Posted - Sep 02 2008 : 05:39:36 AM Let's see, I have to get to the bank and post office this morning, want to paint the closet I emptied out to put my craft items in, do some housework and laundry, and then this evening I have my monthly gardening club meeting.

Posted - Sep 02 2008 : 05:09:04 AM I think I'm having a duh moment. Are we skipping Tuesday this week? Can we? LOL Wow today is gonna be kinda like running of the bulls for me. I'm not sure I wanna think about Wednesday yet. We had so much food and friends and family over yesterday so now I have to haul the trash off before I can even load my cleaning stuff up. Once I get all that done, it's off to the apartments to do a spot clean. That takes about 2 1/2 hours. Then it's over to my older guy's place to clean his floors. Ok that's a ten minute job that takes an hour. He likes to yap, but I don't mind. And then it's a jog over to Newbugh to clean for a young couple. Twenty minutes on the road and another 3 hours cleaning. A finally a mad dash to school to get my kiddos. But the good thing is there are tons of leftovers from yesterday. I don't have to cook tonight. The trick will be getting the kids to eat it. *sigh*
Hope ya'll have a great day!!
Melanie
