Let's say I would like to contact a person personally who has posted a comment on my blog, maybe send an e-mail or mail a goodie package.
Without announcing to the whole world what our personal e-mail addresses are, how do you do that? My blog is public so all the posts are public.
Or, if I have entered a give-way on someone else's blog and I win (unlikely, but you never know!) How would I get my mailing information to them without letting the whole world know?

Ok I see it lets me put in the exact html code- so here's the code for mine-

<A HREF="mailto:MagnoliaWhisper@gmail.com"><IMG SRC="http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y43/SewInLove/Blog/attic_mail.gif" BORDER="0"></A>

You would replace the MagnoliaWhisper@gmail.com with your email address, and the photo bucket stuff, with the address to your image.

I'm not real good at the "new" version of bloggers template. So I choose to keep it in "classic mode". And then I edit the HTML of the template, and put it in a side panel. I use what ever image I want people to click on to email me (by uploading the image to photo bucket). Then I HTML code it with mailto:magnoliaWhisper@gmail.com

Heather, how do you make it a 'clicky'?

I love Gmail and I use it, ALL the time. I have it on my site.

However, I have it as a clicky, and not just to be seen. I don't know if that will stop the spammers/bots from getting it as easy or not. But, so far, I haven't gotten any spam!

Yes, Alee, I noticed that on some Blogger profiles a person has an e-mail address listed to contact them. I did not do that with my own profile but yes, having that 'extra' address may be the way to go.
Thank-you for your in-put.

Angie- If they had to use an email or blogger account to leave their comment, then when you click on their name it *should* allow you to email them a comment. If not, you could always reply to their comment asking them to email you their contact information. You can always set up a Hotmail, Yahoo or Mail.com account just for those types of communications so you wouldn't be giving out your "real" email address on the web. I hope those ideas help!
