bestest gurlfrenz!
here in kentucky .. i have lots .. but i jus' totally adore Kathy Sugarbucket! i've known her since before even moving here .. had heard of her kind and sweet reputation .. and creative spirit from a woman who lived in the cabins (lexie) .. she told me i absolutely needed to meet her. she is one of those precious 'true friends' ... gosh .. i could write forever of lots of dear friends .. but will start with miz kathy!

My best friend was a girl I met in 7th grade. We only lived near each other for 7 months and then my family moved about 40 minutes away to the country. We would call each other and spend the night before we moved. Then on summer vacation I would go stay with her a month. We became closer than sisters. We had disagreements but never gave up on each other. After high school she married an abusive man and I didn't hear from her for over a year. I knew something was up. So, two years later they divorced. We got back in touch and continued where we left off. Then she got pregnant and I got married the following year. After that there was about a two year gap and I had my daughter on her birthday no less. So, I called her mother and got her phone number.
Then, there was a problem. She had gained over 100 pounds after her baby and would not let me see her. So, it would be from 1990 to 2008 before we found each other again. My cousin called me one day whom I had not seen for 10 years. She told me a friend of mine was looking for me. And, this time it was through our religion. Well, it was mine first and then she studied and had to call me and tell me she was now a servant of God too! I cryed and we met again in Feb. at my house.
We live 1 hour from each other. So, we email alot. She works and I'm a stay at home Mom. About every other month we get together. But, it is like we never parted. She is without a doubt by best friend I've ever had. I have lots of good friends, but none like her.

I have one of the Sweetest Friends..
Her name is Lisa.. She's a Friend I can Always Count on to laugh with.. Cry with.. Talk with.. Shop with.. Anything.. She's Game..!
No matter what's going on in either of our Lives..
She's a friend I always know I can rely on to share anything.. Anytime..
Seems no matter what either one of us may have going on it our lives..
The other manages to be a bit stronger for that one to lean a little harder on..
We work together.. so We deal with the same stress on the Job daily!!
As well as knowing what we having going on at home with Families too..!
We both seem to collect & hoard about the same goofy things..
& are animal nuts too.. Even our Exotic pets..!
So we tend understand each other's crazy obssesions better then some of our other friends may..
We even have the same twisted dark humor that seems lost on some people,
Which is really helpful to not feel QUITE so crazy sometimes!
She's just loads of fun.. & great to be around!!!
I'm really fortunate to have found a friend in her!

I am very fortunate to have two very close to me. First is my mom. She's always there for me and we just enjoy each other's company and the people we are. She would be my best friend even if we weren't related. We have a lot in common and the same sense of humor. Some of the most fun times of my life have been mother/daughter trips or vacations we've taken together.
Second is Brenda, my best friend of 37 years. Brenda is more like a sister to me. We've been through a whole lot together, both good and bad. I know that if I would be in trouble or needed anything she would be right there by my side and vice versa. We have the most fun when we are together and can laugh over anything. We even get a fit of giggles going through a drive thru restaurant. (She laughs at the way I order.)

My dear friend Lori lives in Astoria Oregon. I miss her dearly. She was always a ray of sunshine in my life. Full of encouragement. I don't talk to her often as we both have large families and are quite busy. but when we do talk it is as if we never parted.

My Bestie is my Sista-Friend Jeane. I trully believe that she was supposed to be my sister, but God knew better (as always)!!! She and I have been friends for 5 years, and I can tell her anything. She has 4 kids, 3 of them are each a year apart. She is such a fun girl, loyal and trustworthy. In fact, she and I are taking belly dancing classes starting next week--she is the only one that I could feel comfortable doing something like that with!!!!

I would have to say both of my sisters. The sad thing is that they don't live close enough. But, I do have a "sister" that lives five minutes away, Cilla, and she and I get in all sorts of trouble together. :) We have been best pals for a long time.

Definitely my sister! I think we've been best friends since the day she was born...(I'm 8 yrs older). We think each other's thoughts, share the same feelings, etc. I will think about her and the phone will ring and it's her. I can't tell you how many times we have bought the same birthday card for others, and we live 3 hrs apart! Our trips together are my absolute best ones! |

I have to say that one of my best friends is my dd (crshelpmeet). Though we've had our moments we have a lot of the same interests and I enjoy her company. We talk on the phone and online now as she and her family have moved to Florida. Since she is grown with a family of her own I have found a friend in her as well as a sweet daughter.
She accepts me warts and all. I don't know if that is as my daughter or friend but it doesn't really matter.

I have several -- but my newest one is also my farmgirl mentor. She's been teaching me 'beyond the basics', encouraging me when I want to throw in the shovel (or tiller, or cow wormer, cuz I just got stepped on AGAIN, or the chicken waterers) and tries her best to keep that 'citygirl' in me in line. BUT, she respects the fact that I was born and bred a city girl, and that it's a part of me, so she goes out to play with that side of me from time to time. Her? Talk about Faith and Backbone. She just recently went through a tremendously tough time, and never ever lost one drop of her faith -- even though she came perilously close to losing the farm - literally. She lost most everything else, but managed to hang on to the farm. Wow. She is such a fantastic woman, and farmgirl to the very soul!

My bestest girlfriend in the whole wide world now lives in the USA! She and I met when we were both 4 years old, in KinderGarten. And we became best friends straight away and stayed that through the rest of our lives too.
We went to school together, did sleepovers (she lived across from me) and on day trips I always went with them.Went to the library together, had arguments and made up again. Just about everything! And then she met and married her American hubby 28 years ago, and moved to the USA! YIKES! We lost contact for a long time, they traveled the world due to his job. But 6 or 7 years ago I found her address(through a long search and many phone calls)They both came to visit the Netherlands again that year and we met, FUN and emotional!!
Last year I flew to the USA to spend a whole month with them YAY!!
Yup, she still is and always will be my bestest girlfriend. We talk on the phone every now and then. She is a lawyer and extremely busy, so don't catch her home often. But if I do, we talk at least for 2 hours!!
(Only Elvis is a black kitten :) )
