from a loved one .. what would it be? something personal .. something for 'the farm' .. something for your home? it's o.k. to want something for your very own self .. so .. tell us what that one thing would be.

I would love to have a conversation with my Granma, one where we both understood each other! Her English was negligible, and my Japanese just plain sucked! I just wish I had a chance to really get to know her... I'm really missing her. One year anniversary of her death just happened. sniff.

I would have all the time in the world to spend with DH, his sister, my dear friends, and my even dearer parents and brothers.

When we were young, there were moments of such perfectly crystallized happiness that we stood stock still and silently promised ourselves that we would remember them always. And we did. --Holly J. Burkhalter , "Four Midwestern Sisters' Christmas Book"
