Posted - Aug 09 2008 : 09:05:58 AM I was a little saddened that some of the Iraqi athletes couldn't come because their "paperwork" was lost in the political shuffle. I can only imagine how hard they had to work to come.

Posted - Aug 09 2008 : 07:10:08 AM I know there is a lot of contriversy (sp) about China. But they can sure be proud of the performance last night. One of my favorite parts was when the China team marched into the arena. Marching along with Yo was that little boy that had survived the earth quake. Did you hear what they said about him? After surviving the quake, he also saved 2 of his classmates. Someone ask him why he did that, he said that was his job because he was a team leader or something like that. I guess everybody in China arn't bad guys. |
