Hubby and I will be flying out to WY on Friday. Haven't heard many weather reports, so I'm wondering if any of you Western Farm Gals have some news

We'll be staying in Gellette (sp?)

I plan to pack for layering since we'll be out late at night.

We are going to a fireworks convention. They have these in remote places because some of the shells are HUGE! I have seen pictures of one that measured 36 inches around and had to be loaded by crane.

Other locations have been Iowa City, IA and my favorite, Appleton, WI. Lots of nice people there and good cheese too

Thanks a bunch for the links gals!

I lived in the desert for 5 years, so I'll welcome a dry heat ANY day.

We'll plan on taking in some of the touristy sights too. Hubby has never been this far West.

My family and I spent 3 weeks in an RV but that was back in '83 and as ratty pre-teens really didn't appreciate it like we will now

Anna; I'm from Wyoming and it has been HOT - over 100 here last week. You will need some layers because it is cooling down at night and can get chilly fast. Check out weatherunderground. You can put in the city and state and get current weather or the forecast for a week. Wow! Wish I could see the 36 inch fireworks go off. Have fun. Sage:)

Hi Anna!

I grew up in Wyoming and only about 2 hours from Gillette. Bring a jacket, but I don't think you will need to layer too much to keep warm. The heat up there is a dry heat so it will be a lot different from North Carolina!

Here is the 10 day forecast:

You will be visiting only about 3 hours from where I live! Too bad gas prices are so expensive. I would drive down to say "hi" but can't really afford it right now. :(
