My corny "theme parties"...Pumpkins on Parade, Gingerbread Houses on Parade, New Years Eve Costume party, Mardi Gras, Potatoes on Parade, May Pole party, Western, just to name a few...my family and friends wonder "what's she going to make us do this time?" and the "parade" parties get very competitive, especially with the guys. :O)

Susan......Any special variety of pumpkins you are planting? I love pumpkins and always thought it would be such fun to have a BIG Pumpkin Patch...not enough room in my yard for Really BIG but I have had a little area where I planted pumpkins. All went well for a couple of years and then for the life of me I couldn't figure out why I couldn't get any to grow!!!

Do you find any special ones that work best?? Would love to know how to get pumpkins growing again. Do I need to add something to the soil after a couple of years?..... Cause I love things that grow and Say ..... AUTUMN!!!

Until Later,
Audrey

Small groups. We have few close friends, so each one is very special. I get out of sorts when too many people are in the house. When my kids are here, it is like Iron Chef America. Everybody cooking. Also, love canning with the kids,(adult) Everyone has their favorite, so they come help can.

If I am not gardening or canning, I am reading or we are traveling in our Motorhome. We love to visit gardens. Longwood in PA is my favorite.

That's Entertainment!

Watching my kids sing to me the songs they have learnt at school. It seems to have become quite a traditions that after we have each read a book before bed each of my three kids takes a turn in singing. The funny part is when my three year old daughter gets up and sings a whole song for five minute with four words in it. The boys are dying on the floor while I try to just go with it....and if you try to stop her before she is finished she will start all over again....entertaining and memories to cherish don't you think!!!

.....always a farmgirl at heart!

Getting together with others who play the piano, and share laughter as we all usually disagree with one another!

I think a cheese, chocolate and wine party with gals who actually appreciate those things, would be a lot of fun. Then finish with a good girly movie, my current favorite is Mamma Mia! I can't get enough of that movie!

It became a tradition years ago in the fall to have people drop in to decorate the pumpkins we grow in our field! I think this type of entertaining is so great because everyone brings a desert and we provide the pumpkins, hot chocolate, and fun! It doesn't cost anything and we just have a great time talking and being crafty. Susan

A few people with good food, a movie, or a poker game.

I read a book a couple of years ago called A Home of Many blessings. I just loved it. It was all about blessing people by having them over for a meal. It didn't have to be elaborate. That is the way I want my home to be.. but life has to calm down first!

Blessings, Debra

A few close friends for an intimate dinner or bbq, followed by playing cards or a fun board game....or if it's a girls gathering, some retail therapy followed by a good meal, or better yet gather at a nice B&B for a weekend of shopping, eating, and more shopping!
