Loren had to be transfered to Seattle, and I believe they have friends in Seattle. So thanks for the "Farmgil Emergency Response" but it seems like they have gotten it taken care of. Not sure what the future holds. I'll keep you all updated in case he has to do rehabilitation in Spokane or something.

I love you all. You are the best Sisters a Farmgirl could ask for!

Hi Ladies!

I am not sure if you saw my other post-
http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/snitz/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=23323

My friends Loren and Nancy will probably be having to spend some time in Spokane. Loren will need surgery to repair his legs and foot.

While they are in Spokane, is there anyway some of you ladies would be able to bring them some home cooked meals? I know eating hospital food really wears on you after a while. Also, depending on how they feel about it, would there possibly be a guest room they could use instead of a hotel room? If there is, the possibility of it I know would mean the world to them.

I'll let you know as soon as I know more. Thank you so much.

Alee, I could offer some help. I have a guest room, but it is in the basement, so stairs are involved. It could work for the wife, but if he has a foot injury, not so much for him, maybe. In any event, I already have guests coming from August 15-23, but if it would work for them, or for her, I am happy to help. I am right by NorthTown Mall, 2 houses north of Wellesley, so close in to town. Let me know. Thanks, Judy

Thanks Julia! The wife, Nancy always has a cough but it's not sickness- it's allergies. Could you forward your contact info to me again? I think I have it in one of my mail files but it might take me a few days to find it!

I will call Nancy tonight to see how the doctor's visit went. They went to the VA hospital today as he is a veteran.

Alee, I just read your attached post. My heart is completely broken for this family! Gee whiz..the thought of not having insurance and being rejected by the hospital because of it?! I'm speechless. Do let me know what they are pursuing. Sounds like the follow-up treatment will be long. I'm certain St. Luke's Rehab will be involved and I don't know what the accommodations are like over there. Keep us posted! ~julia

Alee, I would be more than happy to cook some food and I'm happy to open the farm to them. I have to discuss that with my husband before I can fully commit however. That, and with Aria, impeccable health is a must.. Still, you are more than welcome to pass along my contact information to your friends and perhaps we can arrange something. I haven't read the post so I need to see what's going on for your friends. Repair legs and foot? Heavens, sounds intensely miserable! My very warm regards to you and do pass along my name to them. ~julia

Alee - I could definitely help with some home-cooked food. We don't have any extra bedrooms, and are far enough from Spokane that it probably wouldn't be convenient anyway. Let us know when they get there and where they are. I'm sending my thoughts and prayers their direction
