Posted - Jul 28 2008 : 11:32:33 AM I love it here in Amish Country! I rode past an Amish Doctors office the other day and this is what the sign said:
AMISH DOCTOR NO APPOINTMENT NEEDED WE ALSO SELL BEDDING PLANTS!
Just made me chuckle! Anyone else see some cute signs? Susan |

Posted - Jul 28 2008 : 1:54:09 PM There is one sign nearby that a lot of pop culture magazines take photos of, "Big Bone Lick" which is a state park that, in prehistoric times, was home to a large salt lick and many intact skeletons of mastodons and other creatures have been found. But, boys will be boys and I can't tell you how many folks giggle when they see that sign...
My other favorite sign is for a doctor practicing in Newport, Kentucky....Dr. Cholera. Yep, I'd want to go to him FOR SURE :)
Farmgirl Sister #80, thanks to a very special farmgirl from the Bluegrass..."She was built like a watch, a study in balance ... with a neck and head so refined, like a drawing by DaVinci"... NY Newsday sportswriter Bill Nack describing filly, Ruffian. http://www.buyhandmade.org/ |
