I love it here in Amish Country! I rode past an Amish Doctors office the other day and this is what the sign said:

AMISH DOCTOR
NO APPOINTMENT NEEDED
WE ALSO SELL BEDDING PLANTS!

Just made me chuckle! Anyone else see some cute signs? Susan

Actually, I do live next door to the Amish....two families of them with a total of 14 children! I am so blessed! Susan

The simple life! I would love to live by the Amish. Such good and wholesome and wonderful and pure souls.

There is one sign nearby that a lot of pop culture magazines take photos of, "Big Bone Lick" which is a state park that, in prehistoric times, was home to a large salt lick and many intact skeletons of mastodons and other creatures have been found. But, boys will be boys and I can't tell you how many folks giggle when they see that sign...

My other favorite sign is for a doctor practicing in Newport, Kentucky....Dr. Cholera. Yep, I'd want to go to him FOR SURE :)

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort~~Albright

That is great! I love traveling thru PA when we visit my husband's family. There are many Amish in the area that he grew up.
