Jenny,

Cowsitting sounds pretty good to me right now. Last night DD and I weighed all of her meat birds going to the county fair and afterwards I felt very calm. Isn't it funny what relaxes a farmgirl.

I have been so blessed this summer, I haven't had to get a "real job" as Grandma calls it, I work as a consultant for textbook publishers, and work parttime for a home health agency taking care of Grandma. It has left lots of time for me to work at home in the garden and inside the house!! I am getting so spoiled!! (no rush hour, no alarm clocks, no bad hair days... ) So the bottom line is, I suppose I have had a mild Monday!!

My day was sort of in betweeen I guess. I do think my manic meter is broken though...too many busy years..haha.
I am cowsitting so after feeding all our critters and the kids I loaded up the kids and went to my friend's house and I milked their cow twice today...this morning and again tonight at 7:30. That went fairly well..although I have learned to appreciate my nice little set up..these people need to do some work on the way they do things..jeesh!!
and I babysat my friend's 8 year old until 1pm when she got off work..will have her the next couple of days too.
Did laundry and some grocery shopping (not BIG shopping, but fill in stuff) and took the two youngest kids out to lunch in the next town for tacos...(only ones home right now..husband and two older ones are off on a pioneer trek to wyoming..you can read about that on my blog if you want)
I was up incredibly late last night..even for me. They had to leave town on the bus at midnight..and didn't REALLY drive away until 1am...and then I was wide awake..so it was after 3am before I finally went to sleep..sigh.
I did have fun gettting special food for Erin, Dalton and me for while we are here alone the next few days. Tomorrow night for supper we are having artichokes..big wonderful artichokes. I never buy them when all 6 are home..too dang expensive at 1.99 each!! But for the three of us it will be a fun treat. I made us special cottage cheese and tomato salads tonight...sprinkled with fresh herbs from the garden and yummy chicken breasts. We are having "egg muffins" for breakfast...Dalton's request..with cheese and more cheese...yum!
While they played legos upstairs I did some paperwork and bill paying stuff..not fun...
We didn't have to water anything this morning since it rained last night a little..but it was so hot today that we did have to water and harvest some salad greens, peppers and herbs tonight...
and then we did a little laundry (only 2 loads tonight..I need to do more tomorrow) and then I just got them to bed. Maybe I will have some stitching time now. I should go to bed early but I know I probably won't.
I guess that was a mild day. I wasn't milking MY cow too, right??

My Monday was a bit manic - I'm still pretty shaken by my meeting last week with one of our board members. After 3 hours of talking we both decided that my boss is laying the groundwork to have me let go. It's a little unnerving to think about being an out of work single mom with a daughter in high school. But, I'm taking it one day at a time, putting out feelers and in the long run I'll land on my feet. He on the other hand might just get bit in the a$$

Cafeful what ya wish for.

I'm looking forward to a mild Tuesday

Manic! I was up early and went to pick up our good friends boy from summer school at 10. Then raced home to grab Tom, we both had eye Dr. appt.'s today at 11. Vison was fine (glasses of course). Tom has a scratch on his left eye and a mild infection. He is on two types of anti-biotics a drops one and a salve one. Have to go back tomorrow for a check again on it.If it isn't better by the end of the week he will have to go to a specialist, Then we had lunch and came home and dove into tearing up the rug in our bedroon and preparing the hallway for a new floor. We moved all the bedroom furniture out and it is a lot! I have book cases in there too, what a job! Right now the whole house is a mess! I know it will be all worth it when we are done. We are also getting a new rug in the dining room and living rooom plus new flooring in the bathroom and kitchen and laundry room. It is like we are moving.Yikes!! My poor dogs are all in a tither, they hate all the change makes them all nervous. I am trying very hard to remain calm and plan on doing a lot of throwing out and cleaning as I put things back together. I just read back this post, I don't sound calm LOL!

my Monday would have been mild if my alarm had gone off!!! Instead I woke up 10 minutes before I had to get my oldest to the bus. So in minutes I was waking up three kids, packing lunch, getting dressed, grabbing my purse and racing out the door. We did make it though, otherwise it's a 20 mile trip to take him to school. I think i am going to buy two alarm clocks just in case one goes out!!

It's pretty mild but I NEED to GET manic so I can get some things done around here! I did FINALLY pot up my geraniums that I bought this Spring, aired the house this morning before it got HOT, cleaned up the house and made the bed and put some laundry away. Made a few calls and received a few and now I am getting ready to clean the frig cuz tomorrow is grocery shopping....I heard on t.v. news one night that it's cheaper to shop on Tuesdays...can't remember why but I need all the help I can get so I thought I would go tomorrow! I need to make a grocery list/menu too...so movin and groovin this Monday!

Manic for me...we have some people coming tonight to pick up two horses and who may or may not be staying for supper, so I've been cooking and cleaning like crazy just in case.

If they don't stay, I'll have a meal to put in the freezer for after the baby comes. And my house will be clean. So it's a win-win situation.

It's a lazy day around here. We're back from a road trip. Doing laundry, need to weed the garden. The weed fairy never seems to show up when I go out of town. Need to run to pick the dog up from my Mom's.

I feel mild on the outside and a bit manic on the inside. Too many things worring me lately. But other wise...it is quiet. Dh is outside with daughter Summer. Eli dozing on the couch..daughter Paige putting out two of the dogs that sleep with her...oh I think she just locked herself in the bathroom again..she is 15. My oldest is working out of town again this summer, not enough jobs here in our area, but I spoke with him last night. So it is quiet for now..till Eli wakes and turns the house upside down. He is one high energy 9 year old boy.

I fear it is going to be a bit of a Manic Monday for me. It is laundry day and *sigh* I took the weekend off so now I have a weekend worth of dishes to do! Yikes! I also need to run to the Dollar Store to get a new spray bottle so I can wet down the sheet at my Outpost, I will see if they have any handy dandy organizational things that will help my kitchen and an under-bed box for Nora's clothes.

It is a mild Monday here! Spent last week cleaning, sorting and throwing away....okay, didn't throw all that much away. Stll lack two rooms to go through, then I can do some fun stuff or maybe work on the yard if the temps are a little cooler. I have gotten rid of a lot of clutter, but it seems to find its way back ` just in different forms. hahaha

Havta to pour some candles today, too. Two orders to have ready by the end of the week. Other than that, not too much going on. Gonna work on plans for an outdoor kitchen in my spare time.

Well I did not have to go to work today but then I am unemployed so I do have to job hunt. I would rather be sewing, cooking, laundry just lazing around here at home. Wish I could find a job that would pay me for staying home. But the sun is shining, the flowers blooming and the birds singing away. What a gorgeous day!
