Posted - Jul 27 2008 : 5:15:17 PM Gee, I've missed this place! We moved about a month ago after selling our place in the country, bought a place in town, to save on gas and be closer to the kids. I found this place on my second house hunting trip, fell in love at first sight! That was May of 07 right after we put our place on the market, and after alot of praying and waiting, in May of this year, we signed the papers making it ours! Call it faith, fate or luck, but I knew I had to live here. The 2 acres sits on top of a hill with wildlife all around and a blank canvas for a yard. But first comes the inside remodel, decorating and unpacking, which is still underway. But I wanted to pop in to see what all I've missed and to invite you to my blog to see the changes we've made here so far, you can also scroll down to find the post that shows off the house, not a castle, mansion or palace but a sweet little home in need of some tender loving care, which it's getting one room at a time! Glad to be back!

Posted - Jul 28 2008 : 06:36:03 AM Gosh, it looks like you are all settled in!! Love the red wall in the living room. :) And that chalkboard is wonderful! I love chalkboard paint a bit too much myself. I have one side of my pantry painted in it and when we have someone special come to our house, their name goes on the wall. My whole family is there, the missionaries that have served in our area, the farmgirls who have come to my house and even MaryJane, Katie, Meg, Lucas and StellaJane are there!! It's called the Smith Family Wall of Fame and it has become a wonderful addition to our little house. As one of my kids said, "You are anybody until you're on the Wall of Fame!"

It sounds like your new place is just about perfect! And with gas prices being high- it will be nice to save so much money and still have some acreage.
