We went to a local yard sale (not Rose's) and I found so many cool and cute things.

Check out my blog. I have a couple of questions about a couple things and if anyone knows anything about butter churns I would really appreciate your knowledge on the matter. Also, I need some ideas on what to do with a wallpaper border I got.

No, Alee, I still buy organic milk and cream at the store. No one anywhere close with fresh milk. The closest one I could find was in Nampa and that's an hour and 40 minutes away. Just a bit too far for milk. But this machine sure is fun to use.

Jonnie, the one tablecloth has beautiful strawberries embroidered on it. I have no idea what to do with that wallpaper border yet. I don't have a laundry room. I'm trying to remember some project I had seen that used bits and pieces of wallpaper or borders. I can remember that I thought it was a really great and cute idea. But, I just can't seem to remember where I saw it or just what it was. Oh, well, it will come to me sooner or later.

I was really hoping one of you gals who is into antiques would know more about the butter churn. Frannie? Miss Wilma? It your turn gals.

Wow, what finds!!! I sure do love that butterchurn, for sure! The embroidered tablecloth (berries of some sort?) is lovely. I'd put that little border up in my laundry room/closet if you can. Adorable!!!

Lisa-

It sounds like you had fun making butter! Are you getting fresh milk from someone?

Beautiful churn, Lisa. They're always priced out of my reach, too. You sure got lucky there. And you're other goodies are all neat finds, too. I like the butterfly tablecloth best.

Thanks, gals. The churn works wonderfully and it's just so much fun to use something that old. Just to think how many other hands have made butter with it, how many children sat watching and waiting for the buttermilk. I just love old working kitchen gadgets.

Oh Lisa...such cool stuff you got! Those aprons are darling and my fav is the strawberry cloth! It's beautiful! You go girl!
and the butter churn...can't help you there but I'm sure someone here will! Let me know how the butter-making goes. And I LOVE broccoli...I tried growing it several times but never had much luck...looks like you're doing just fine in that department!
