Oh I know he is right- but that doesn't comfort much in this situation- ya know? I guess I am a sucker for living things- they are only around for a relatively short time.

We don't have any credit cards at all and never have been overly attached to them. Our debt is mostly from school loans and household things (car tires and such). Hubby's credit would be much better if he hadn't IGNORED the student loans needing to be repaid!!

PS- I wanted to add that Doug and I talked last night. He said he is feeling as bad as me about the situation and we talked it over some more. We still don't see a way to budge until we get our other obligations taken care of. It's the right thing to do, but we both feel a little miserable about it.

I know that you are disappointed, but hubby is right about you guys getting on the right track. Not sure if you are familiar with Dave Ramsey, but he has a TV show & a radio talk show that tells people how to get out of debt. He has people call in & yell "I'm DEBT FREE" after they do, & also has them call in & explain how they did their plastectomies(detroying credit cards, one guy put them in a target & shot them, one lady put hers in the blender etc..) He has some great tips & I think he has also written a few books. But the best line of all is one that you may think about right now.. he says that for now.."You have to live like no one else, so that later on you can live like no one else"... That horse will come & be all the more precious when she does. ((BIG HUGS))

Jessica- She is a Straight Egyptian Arabian and the ranch has people coming to look at her this fall. She is probably going to be sold to Saudi Arabia if I don't buy her.

Lisa- No she found some homemade baby powder that I make and had fun! Obviously it tasted good enough to eat to her! LOL *She also eats the homemade baby balm whenever she gets a chance!*

Those are great pictures of Nora. Was she helping you bake something and got too much flour on herself?

I love the horse photo on there Alee. Like Debra said, it isn't always easy, but sometimes you have to do what is right, not what you really want to do. Perhaps the family could provide updates, photos, etc on the horse for you. Plus with a strong bloodline, it is possible to have another great horse. What breed of horse was it?
