Tina, I really like your child photography idea. I've often thought that, as I get better at photography, I should try offering portraits of friends and family's kids. The school or department store photos are so stiff and posed (not to mention expensive).

Aunt Jenny, I would love a B&B or retreat cottage also but like you my very sweet DH would SCARE my guests away. Just doesn't have the personality for it. But he is building me a very small cabin and has said I can do what I want with it. Maybe I will fill it with pretties and have a few sales for the world to see or retreats for my dear friends (who know he's not scary)

From The Hearts of Paradise -- a shop that sold vintage items, including furniture, linens and other stuff, and especially sold baskets of items made on our farm -- lye soap, handwoven dishtowels, candles and canned goods.

Me too, Jenny. And mine would be the same way or he would be obsessing about whether they were going to rob us or not.

I would LOVE a bed and breakfast...but my sweet husband hasn't the personality for it. He would spend his time irritated with people. Wouldn't work.

My dream business would be to open my own bakeshop where you can come to eat, chat and sip coffee. My bakeshop would also have a U-Pick berry and veggie patch out back...you could pick up your baked goods and fresh produce all in one place.

An animal shelter to get abused/neglected/abandoned animals into good homes. I'd also like to open a craft/fabric store. We don't have one here and everybody around here has to go all the way to Boise for supplies.

I would love to have a little garden/book/fiber shop in a sweet little building next to my house (not that there is a building there ..I would have to put one there) it would have some antiques, gifts and herbal things too. It would have to be here though. That would be required.

My bakery. My grandma and mom taught me how to bake when I was little, and not to toot my own horn, but I am really good at it! It could become a reality, but there is a cash flow problem for the time being...all in Gods hands, right!?!

I'd like to get my photography business going. Here I have done a few photo shoots for folks.. family beach sessions, and engagement couples, bride in gown, and a few "back to school" sessions....but my heart is really into taking photos of children...what I really dream of doing is landscaping a yard to become an "on site" backyard children's photography studio geared towards children's photography..with areas planned out that are for kids to walk around, play in and explore in a natural/casual type elegance. To capture children at their best..at play and exploring nature.Picking flowers, looking at flowers, discovering bugs..whatever they want to do in a natural type setting that is all "child sized".I intend to definitely get on the ball with going gung ho on this idea/dream when I get situated in Ocala.I have a small collection of childrens "props" in a large bin in my garage ..things like fairy and butterfly and angel wings and so forth..will be adding to them over time..am wanting to add vintage style clothing to my stash too soon.So..if any of you have any vintage little girl dresses in cream or white or vintage little girl petticoats just sitting around...get with me and we'll try to work out a deal of some kind.
--------
Next..I have always, always enjoyed flowers..I would like to do something along the lines of growing and selling plants and flowers perhaps at a farmer's market on a small scale.
To have a small greenhouse and sell specialty type flowers not easily found at local nurseries.I intend to join the master gardeners program in Ocala as soon as I get there and settled in.

I design silk flower wreaths and sell them at craft shows several times a year. My selling has slowed down, since I'm working every weekend. (I'm a nurse at my "real job"). I will have a booth at the Christmas show in November. What I really want to do is plan an everlasting garden in an area of our 7 acres so I can grow, dry and design everlasting wreaths, arrangments, cut flowers, etc. to sell. I love the look of dried flower wreaths, etc. Wreaths and flowers are my passion. Right now I'm in a planning mode, since I am working on the Christmas wreaths and arrangements.

A cat and dog no-kill shelter with only animal lovers running it. Home cooking for the pets only. A/C in the shelter. Fresh water three times a day.

My chef husband has always wanted his own restaurant..but I am not much into that. I would love to convert an old barn into a therapy art workshop for the disabled (handicapped) physically/mentally and school kids that cant afford it. I would have a working farm where they can learn how to care for an animal and to work the land and know the benifits of love and care and reap the rewards. I am not sure this is a business as I dont see a profit in that anywhere. But that is what I would like to do.

I would love to own a small book store, with a little patch of garden next to it where people could sit on a bench and read.
