Nora wakes up any where between 6 and 8am. She gets a quick "pre-breakfast" and we strap on our shoes and head out back.

Today I pulled weeds in the greenhouse. Did you know grass thrives in a greenhouse situation? I also spread down some more weed block material. I pulled enough weeds to fill a wheelbarrow I think. I got the greenhouse about 75% weed free and then a good 10 foot section next to the greenhouse where I am trying to train some ivy to grow.

It looks like my strawberry plants are starting to put out a few runners! Yay!

Nora sat on my weed material and played with the weeds I had already pulled. She also got to see a slug and a worm and thought they were very interesting! As I was kneeling pulling weeds she came up an gave me a big hug and said "I love you!" quite clearly! Such a sweet girl! She then gave me lots more hugs, patted my back and gave me lots of kisses.

It's so great to be able to spend som quality time with my daughter out in the garden. The sun is shining so we get our vitamins from the sun but we don't get over heated. I can hardly wait for fall when the leaves turn and Nora gets to jump in leaf piles!

Alee, I may have a picture of the tree on my computer. The computer I'm using is my husbands. He has internet, I don't cause my internal modium (mispelled!) went kapput. I'll look at my pics on my day off Monday. If not, I'll be sure to post some pics of the maple when it turns this coming fall. I love that old tree.

Ah Farrah! You are so lucky to live in the land of fireflys! Can you believe I have _never_ seen one?

I too am anxiously awaiting fall, but love each season. The summer mornings are nice, but I love the nights with the lightnin' bugs, crickets, and sometimes honeysuckle permeating the air.

Blessings!

I am looking forward to the fall. It is so hot and humid here. I love the tree in our front yard, in the fall it is a soft yellow-orange (almost like an apricot color) and plus some of the leaves remain lime green. It's an old Maple tree and so pretty. Also it is a very creative time of the year for me. I design and make wreaths for all seasons, but fall and Christmas time is the best time for my wreath making and selling.

Ooohhh...a crisp fall morning would be divine!!! But as my Grandma would say, patience is a virtue. Right??

Thanks Brooke! Perhaps it is a crisp morning as compared to the rest of the day?

Marly- Thanks so much for the compliment! I would love to write a book someday! Have a great day as well!

Hi Alee:
Sounds like you and your daughter had a grand time in the garden. That's what memories are made of; times like that. You sure have alot of posts. You should write a book, you seem to have a way with words and putting them down. Makes me smile when I read alot of your posts. Have a happy day!

What a beautiful little girl your Nora is. Soooo sweet and makes me really want a grandaughter just like her. And spend quiet times with her like you have described. Sigh.....
