I think a funnel cloud or something just came down a little bit ago on our carport here at our condo!! It was RIGHT over my husband's car! We had heard something odd, and it was furiously raining and after we heard it, I said, "Geez, I hope that it's not the new carports getting screwed up ..." It sounded weird!
Well, several minutes later, the old lady upstairs came down and knocked on our door saying we might want to move our car and go look.. Well, what do ya know!
So my husband goes out there, and I didn't realize what was going on til' I ran outside and put my hand over my mouth! Another guy and my husband was talking about what it could be .. They don't think that the rain could've caused it to sink in ... and it looks like someone ran down the middle of the carports or a FUNNEL/Tornado did! It's crazy looking... right over our car.. and VERY close to us here in our condo ...Agggh! I didn't expect to get THIS kind of excitement with this storm (Dolly)!

Brooke- I have never lived where tornadoes form very often! I would have been quaking in my boots for sure! And no windows or anything were damaged? This is going to be one of those days that will be a good story to tell a bit later when it doesn't feel so horrifying!

Yes, it felt very surreal! Pretty shaken up at the time, but everything seems quiet now and all is okay ...phew! I actually do thank God the carport was there because that car surely would've been screwed up.. we definitely think it was a small tornado now ..

Phew! Good thing you aren't responsible for the carport then! That makes a huge difference! And it's wonderful that your car wasn't damaged! How surreal is that?

Well, since we live in a condo.. We're not responsible for the damage to the carport. Had it been the car ..that would've been different. lol. All's okay and no problems anymore (so far)!

I guess Dolly has more of a punch than was first thought. Glad you are okay! Hope insurance will take care of any damage.

Well, just the carport, but had the carport not been there, the car would've been hurt! Thank goodness, we were all okay... but we're kind of worried about other things like that still happening..some bad weather still on the way ...
