Posted - Jul 24 2008 : 06:32:58 AM I was almost named Jamie Lynn, and I always wished I had been named that, until the Spears' family came on the scene. Now I'm GLAD that I'm Stacy Lynn instead!
I like unusual, sort of romantic names... Sage, Tallulah, Sunday Rose (like Nicole Kidman's baby), and so on. Any of those would be fine... but I think I'd have to go with Sophie. For some reason I've always loved Sophie.

Posted - Jul 24 2008 : 06:25:57 AM I am a kathleen. My best friend of 35 years is Katherine. At school I was "katie" and she was "kate", the confusing thing was that at my house I was "kate" and at her house she was "katie". So we just answered no matter which one they wanted. I have called her KATE THE GREAT since forever. I cant imagine a different name for myself. We are kinda like peas in a pod that way. |

Posted - Jul 24 2008 : 05:40:39 AM My name is Sandra but I've always been called "Sam" I think because my father wanted a boy and he never got one. Actually I would like the name Calamity Jane....or just Calamity as it seems more fitting but my grandson was named after me, Samuel and I wouldn't want to mess that up! That was the greatest honor I've ever been given! He just turned one so he doesn't realize it yet...I ho

Posted - Jul 23 2008 : 9:09:16 PM I have another name I go by when I'm trying to ignore the kiddos. It's when they are all on a kick hollering mom, mom, mom. One day I wanted a minutes peace so I told them I wasn't their mother I just looked like her and my name was Sarah. Well we went to the flea market last year and we were browsing at this one table and they all three started in MOM. I just kept looking and all three at once just chimed off "Sarah!" the guy working the booth thought that was the funniest thing, but even funnier when I told him Sarah wasn't really my name.
But if I could pick a new name.. I love the name Emma too, but then we would have too many Emma's on here. Wouldn't that get confusing. I had a great, great, great aunt named Ambrazillah. I think I'll go with that.

Posted - Jul 23 2008 : 9:05:29 PM I don't mind my name at all...but have NEVER gone by my given name (Jennifer) and I don't think it fits. I would be more likely to change my middle name (Rae) to go better with Jenny.

Posted - Jul 23 2008 : 7:40:50 PM My given name is Katharine. If I had a choice I would have preferred to be called that. My mom and dad called me Katie. Now they and my boss are the only people allowed to call me that.
