genetic or what someone makes of life?
I personally think it is what one makes of life. I come from a family of frowners and downers and everyone calls me "Smiley". HA!!!!

It is a choice. I am very positive, but I can see where some folks (family included) that I know just choose to be negative and unhappy. Sad.

I believe it is a choice. What you choose to make out of life.
It's not always easy,and not every day is sunshine and roses no matter how much you would like it to be. But, for the most part I think we can choose the way we react to life's ups and downs.

I have a lot of negative people in my family and extended families
I have always tried to look on the "Sunny sid of things"
as my dear deceased dad would sing to me
I try to be positive.
But, it gets really hard at times
The Bible says a merry hert is good as medicne so . I try.

Adaptation is right! One can choose to "go to work", or "have a happy day", OR one can "GET to go to work", or "GET to have a happy day!" Happy day to everyone out there.

I agree, Karin. Happiness is a choice. You can choose to moan and groan over your problems, or you can put on a smile, adapt and overcome them. I love folks who just "beat" what ever it is that's wrong with them or their life. Those kinds of people are so inspiring and absolutely unforgettable. MaryJane is one of those.

I think happiness is a choice. That doesn't mean every day is going to be sunshine and roses, but you can certainly adjust your attitude to put a positive spin on a bad day.
