If any of you Gulf Coast Texas gals need a place to crash, let me know. I am just Northeast of San Antonio. I don't have much but I do have a bedroom and a comfy dog to keep you happy. Please stay safe.

We got an inch-and-a-quarter of rain, much needed. No power outages or high winds here, thankfully.

Caron, how fun! I found the people sweet and delightful. We had a nice relaxing time. Freeport is where we were.

We did o.k. here in southeast Texas. We got a lot more rain than we expected from Dolly, but today is back to sunny and hot.

AngiKay, I used to live in the Bahamas. I lived on Abaco Island and this was when it was VERY primitive! My dad worked for the papermill and we were sent there for a year.

We watched about Dolly while visiting the Bahamas. I saw though that everyone in Cenral was safe and sound and no rain today now that we are back. I missed it. :(

I'm just north of Wimberley - not too far from you, actually! Mayhaps a coffee meetup sometime?

Hope the rest of the TX folks check in as they can. I'm in South Central TX, and we're expecting heavy rains and possible flash flooding. The critters are safely tucked in for the day, all blow-away-ables are battened down, and I've got the Weather Channel on. Our 'net connection tends to go kaplooey during storms, but I'll keep checking this thread while I can. Health and safety to you all.

I hope none of our farmgirls have a run in with Dolly! I respect your fortitude to live in an area that gets hurricanes! I would be a nervous wreck!
