Posted - Jul 18 2008 : 4:55:41 PM I went to the thrift store looking for a deviled egg plate and/or a devided tray for cut fruit. My grandson's 10th birthday and I said I'd bring a ton of fruit. Of course I didn't see any but look what I did find. Posted on my Strawberry Hills blog. ENJOY!! MB

Posted - Jul 19 2008 : 10:26:52 PM I will as soon as I figure out which ones. This year can only enter 2 in each division. I only enter Photography because I don't know how to do anything else. haha. they will be 8x10 most likely. Last year we could enter 3 and I did one 8x10 and two 5x7. MB I am thinking of maybe these two. Maybe not. I have a lot to choose from--hundreds. Of course they will look different framed, maybe better. MB

Posted - Jul 19 2008 : 06:59:23 AM Jonnie the eye cup really is not uncomfortable, I have used them many times when I was younger and before all the new stuff came out with eye doctors, Its been a long time but when our eyes would get like bad matta in them we used warm water and borax, I cant remember the ratio of it

Posted - Jul 19 2008 : 06:16:33 AM Thanks, Mary Beth...I sortof thought that's what you meant, especially by the shape. How awkward, really :)!!! I bet you're glad you never had to use it as a kid!
Pretty, pretty shelf--thanks!

Posted - Jul 18 2008 : 8:16:21 PM Jonnie an eye cup is a small cup to wash out your eye.See the shape, how it fits the eye socket. Say some thing is in your eye or you have an infection or whatever--well you put water or solution in the cup, tip your head down, place the cup against the eye and then tip the head back and open your eye and wash it. At least that is what I was told and we had one when I was a kid--I don't remember useing it but I do remember playing with it. The shelf over my bed is a saucer/plate holder but I put other things on it. I got it at a thrift, collectible shop. MB

Posted - Jul 18 2008 : 7:18:15 PM Beautiful as usual, Mary Beth. Alright, now WHAT is an eye cup? I sure do love that shelf you've hung over your bed--and I also hope it doesn't fall--can you tell me about it? It looks sort of church-like. I mean, like it came from one.
All in all, lovely, lovely!
