remember the 'high wire' act i told you gurlz about that we saw on July 4th? here's a pic! he broke his grandfather's record on this 'walk'! it must take a lot of traing and LOTSA' 'nerve' to be able to do this!

alee .. i even tried to walk a 'board' wider than my feet .. just five feet off the ground and wuz 'skert' to death!

they have amazing balance and concentration. every now and then he would SCREAM: 'STEADY THE ROPE' .. those side wires helped that LONG wire stay taut.

gave me the gillie-wumps! xo

I think it is because a line on the ground- your feet still touch as much ground as they would walking normally-but once you have the line raised up - you only have like 1 inch to stand on, and if the wind picks up you have to try and fight that as well.

i'm sure that in his career . .he has 'fallen' at some point! we 'surmised' that if he started slipping .. he would GRAB the wire he is walking on and the operators at either end could 'lower the wire' to the ground.

it's interesting to read his family's story .. some have indeed died while walking the high wire.

isn't it interesting how we can 'walk on a line drawn on the ground' .. but raise it up off the ground .. and we get all 'dizzily'!
