Hey Leah, I almost had a job there awhile back...in Rocky Mount...which is beautiful but very rural. I keep hearing things about Chapel Hill...very artistic and beautiful, sort of like San Francisco, but without all the craziness and Raleigh is nice too, I hear.

I have travelled to NC for over 30 years. It draws me back again and again. I love the people, the scenery, and the creative lovely feeling just being there. The Franklin, Otto, Dillard, Rabun Gap area in the southern part of the state is really nice. Those are on or right over the Georgia state line. The areas around the Nantahala Forest are beautiful.....Bryson City too. Cashiers is great. Around Ashville, I would pick north and west of the city. We stay in Masrshall while there. There is some great property for sale, and there is lots to do nearby. And it is easy to slip into Tennessee and visit there, too. The Winston-Salem area has never drawn me back twice (except for needlework shows on business), and the Charlotte area is getting so urban......but they are pretty too. It is a beautiful state, though, and I know you will be happy there.

Actually, we could pick the area. We know that we wouldn't want to live on the beach...otherwise, we're flexible.
