in Dearborn, Michigan has a wonderful re-created 1800's town and farms. They also have an I-MAX .. and we started off our visit by seeing Kung Fu Panda there. (that is such a cute movie!)

we took a train ride around the perimeter of the village getting off at various stops .. we also took an olde-timey bus ride and rode in an early Henry Ford car .. we toured a slave cottage .. farms and town.

what a fun day .. if you are anywhere near there .. be sure to visit!
(it takes ALL DAY .. so get there early) .. they also have a beautiful hotel you can stay at if you want to spend a couple days there. xo

last night .. hank and i watched Meet Joe Black (with Brad Pitt and Anthony Hopkins) ... i loved the scene where "death' in the form of Brad Pitt met an old woman in much pain in the hospital when he went to see his 'love interest' .. the olde woman who was from the Carribbean knew right away by looking into his eyes that he was "death" in disguise. She asked him to take her with him. He told her it was not her time (he was there for Anthony Hopkins) .. the father of the 'girl'!

Later, he saw her in the hospital again and she told him that if you have enough 'memories' to take with you .. it is o.k. to "go". He asked her if she had enough memories .. she smiled the sweetest smile of acceptance .. nodded her head yes .. and closed her eyes to this earth forever.

What a sweet though: "if you have enough memories to take with you".

HEY! but i have LOTS more memories to 'make' BEFORE i'm ready to 'take' Mr. "D."!!!!!!!!!!!
