Posted - Jul 10 2008 : 2:39:50 PM Not sure where this goes ; so if'n ya know you can change it Ha Do any of you make your own make up? I use to use a liquid. I have really pale skin. Almost like a baby's I cannot get out in the sun for any lenght of time I tried the makeup that QVC sales you know the Bare E. I got them in a kit They sent 4 of the little pots I can only wear one because the others are so dark. I really like it though; but it is expensive I have a Vitenames sister-in-law she has like a really pretty brown skin So, the dark goes to her I keep forgetting to take it to Mom's to give to her Ha So, do any of you make your own make up I really like the powder type foundation. I find it is better for my skin, Pinkroses

Posted - Jul 12 2008 : 10:40:18 AM Jessie Here is the Aveeno I was talking about. I use it in the morning and in the night before I go to bed. I wear it every day, Aveeno-- active naturals---positively radiant moisturizing Lotion visibley evens skin tones and texture.
Jessie Sometimes , my cheeks get really red. Since I have been using this it is less noticable This is my foundation make-up before putting on the face powder It is like almost $7.00 at Wall-mart here I only use it on my face ; so it will last a long time It really does smooth out the skin and giving it a natural sorta glow. Give it a try and let me know if you like it Watch your Sunday's newspaper I think I got a $1.00 off cupon for that and the face powder makeup. Hugs. Sheila

Posted - Jul 11 2008 : 7:30:23 PM I know exactly what you mean about the cheap stuff!! My face always look really blotchy and feels burned whenever I use it. I buy the cheap nail polish and anything like that that I can get away with. There used to be a makeup company called Naturals that was really good and I only bought from their line. (I could even get it at the normal shopping stores) but one time I went in and they didn't carry it anymore and I couldn't find it anywhere. Great stuff though.:) hugs Jess

Posted - Jul 11 2008 : 10:28:08 AM Thanks Jess. You know I did try the Loreal Bare natural in ivory, recently it is the lightest shade that they have. I also got the Avvenno(sp) moisterizer lotion I really like it I use in at night and during the day It is prefect for my type of skin It makes it look so pretty too even without makeup I use that as the foundation and then put the Loreal Bare natural on over the lotion It worked really well, I got some rouge or what ever it is called from Revelon, It is really pretty like a rosy color to put on my cheeks the make up is really pretty So, I think I might have found my own formula from 3 different companings. Lol It sounds weird ; but , if it works who cares. Since I have been doing this; I have found that I do not smoother ; like I do with the liquid makeup, it is so heavy I don't get those headaches that I often got when I wore the heavy liquid kind. Jess, Maybe you could expemient too. I think it is best for me to stay with a brand name make-up unless I can figure out how to make my own, Ha. I find cheap make up burns my skin and I have allergies with it. Hugs Pinkroses ( Sheila)

Posted - Jul 10 2008 : 5:27:23 PM Hi Sheila, The Bare Essentials makeup is becoming more popular. My sister gets her from a company called Ulta that carries a mixed of everything. L'Oreal is now carrying the same type of makeup (only a lot cheaper) and you can get it at Walmart or most all department stores. I am not sure about making your own makeup. If you do find someone that does, please share as I would love to try it. Like you, I am blessed with very very very pale and extrememly sensitive skin. I have found Avon to be gentle, but it really greases up after long wear, and I would guess there really isn't anything natural in that. ;) Good luck! I'm keeping an eye on this thread...sounds like it could prove an interesting topic. Thanks for posting it! hugs Jess
