I made a potato salad this morning, and some muffins, and a banana cream pie. I plan on not feeling well later. Anyways after that I went to the thrift. My friend that works there saved me a nice surprise this week. Also got some cute salt and peppers, and other stuff.
Might go to garage sales this Friday, not that many chances to go because almost every weekend something is going on somewhere. I just don't know what happened to those "LAZY HAZY DAYS OF SUMMER" I remember my dad singing that song. I was trying to sing it last night but Richard said he would rather I didn't do that.

Nancy Jo- You seem to be able to find great stuff each time you go out! That is awesome. It must be some sort of Farmgirl Mind Trick? :D (Sorry for the vague reference to Star Wars...just woke up! LOL)

It's never too late to be what you might have been.

Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

Love those buttowns and the button card with the girl on it. Very neat. Banana cream pie gets my vote too.

Frannie,
Right now I seem to be in pretty good health, but just as soon as something goes wrong, I'm On my way to your house. We could take turns waiting on each other, or have clearly written instructions for Hank.

oh nancy jo .. you so remind me of how i was a hand-full of years ago .. could NOT .. pass up a thrift store or yard sale .. and i LOVED the 'flea market' .. ha! i have a whole 'schoolhouse' full of treasures from those days! adorable S&P .. my friend, Cyndi has that set too! my FAV of all your treasures is, of course, the BUTTONS!!! love BUTTONS!

now .. you jus' bring that banana cream pie here to freedom valley .. we'll put our sore 'toes' and whatever you decide is going to ail you .. up on a fluffy pillow ... and sit and do 'button sewie' projects and watch movies on TV!

I don't think the box itself would have been such a great thing if it hadn't had the writing on the bottom. Now I know part of its past. Wish I could come to Miss Wilma's and see some of you girls.

You sure outdid yourself this time, Nancy Jo. It's hard to pick a favorite. I kind of think I like the wooden box the best - no wait, it's the salt and peppers - no wait, it's the buttons - no wait, it's the banana cream pie!!!!! :D
