Posted - Jul 09 2008 : 08:41:12 AMi read the other day that because of the high cost of 'transporting' goods made overseas .. that some companies are moving their businesses back to the United States. i wonder how the 'salaries and benefits' will talley up on that savings.
i sure do try to BUY AMERICAN .. my little grandson was so surprized when i told him that LOTS of goods are 'made in china' .. took him on a little shopping trip .. where we up-ended things for him to see all the 'made in china' goods. (his dad is a politician and is VERY VERY VERY "MADE IN AMERICA" conscious!) he had heard all this from his dad .. but actually taking him on a 'field trip' to check it out i think made him even more aware!
Posted - Jul 09 2008 : 09:15:00 AMThat is neat to hear Frannie...any idea on what some of those companies might be? It just makes sense to make it over here.
