When my mom finishes scanning all of the photos I got the originals! She knows I would appreciate them so much more than my other sisters. It was a nice visit.

oh debra .. i love that you had a wonderful time with your family. now that we live in Kentucky .. i don't get to see my 'kith and kin' as often and it is a huge celebration when we do get together. did you get some of those olde photos? i swear .. it's on my list of 'things to do' someday to go through our HUGE piles of photos and write stories about the times they show. xo

I usually start with Across the Fence. On occasion, I'll start with Welcome Wagon. Then I move on to the Kitchen and then the Garden. If I have time, I check out Make it Easy and Outpost.

Frannie, I've been meaning to say,(sorry this is off topic, but) I saw your rag children in the Mary Jane magazine and fell in love with them. It was really inspiring to me as well! I know I'll eventually adopt one!

I love the chapter info.. it is fun to see and hear what others are doing, or planning to do.. we are all so great at sharing ideas, and finding names for new chapters etc.....

me too, and farmgirl kitchen
Hey Frannie, I got to see my parents, one of my sisters and 2 of my nieces today! the first time in over a year! I am a happy farmgirl right now! Oh and found out from my mom today that she has been going through all of these old pictures and letters from her parents and way back. Turns out my grandma's side of the family were farmers! big time- hundreds of acres in mostly Minnesota. I told her that was probably where I got my farmgirl genes from.. She agreed that was probably it.. runs in the family. :-)
