Well I just talked with Wilma on the phone and she is tickled to death. They have been doing great so far today. I am kicking myself in the tail for not being able to travel down there tomorrow. There are going to be a TON of the KY bunch heading down there. If anyone needs directions and can't get in touch with her, shoot me an email.

Now you gals don't have too much fun! Photos....take LOTS of photos!!!

I finally got a minute to get on here. I feel like Lucy on Charlie Brown going "waaaaahhhhh!!!" Ya'll had too much fun let me tell ya! haha. I really wish I could have been there. Plus ya'll got to meet my grandparents too. I did smell some sweet pie floating down the highway the other day. I know that there won't be any leftovers with Jonni's pies.

I just told hubby about the music...now gosh darnit ya'll are making me sad. Wilma, you gotta get them to come back over sometime really soon!

We are traveling down to Wilma's this weekend for her son's wedding. I really wish we could have been there this past weekend. :( Hubby is bringing his guitar I think just in case. If all else fails, we'll drag out one of Sterls.

Ok, now I'm cracking the whip - get photos posted up soon!!!

Lainey - I hope that your mom gets better soon. Let me know if you need anything!!

Lainey, take care of your momma (and you)! Give Frederick a "hello" from me and mom, and I meant what I said about next time you come up our way!!!

I'm going to post more about Saturday and the pics when things get back to normal here, my Mom is in the hospital again. I just wanted to say what a wonderful time Fredrik and I had there. We felt right at home, everyone was so nice to us and it's beautiful down there.

Miss Wilma, thanks so much for inviting us, you are the sweetest lady. Your kindness means a lot to us. I hope to meet up with you again soon. I really enjoyed talking with your Mama too, please tell her hi for me. The food was wonderful, Fredrik told his mom all about it when she called yesterday. Thanks again for such wonderful hospitality.

Jonni (and mom), Janice, Luna, and Kayla it was such a pleasure to meet you all in person. I'm looking forward to the next time we meet up. Jonni, your pies are great. I'd been hearing so much about them and glad to finally taste them. Although I bet Fredrik's still pouting since I gave him only half a piece. Kayla, I really enjoyed the music... your family is so talented. As are all the farmgirls. We loved meeting everyone! I promise to post the pics as soon as I can.

She's not sure yet...maybe some wildflowers, maybe some utensils in the kitchen. She has a nice collection of wooden spoons I've started for her from Shakertown and places like that...she's SO excited about that piece, though, Janice! She also bought a few pillows of Miss Wilma's for her bed (not sleeping, but the embroidered ones)..

I too bought the peppermint--Justin just LOVES peppermint soap. I also bought the milk and honey (which is unscented...now I know why David crinkled his nose--it didn't smell!) and a Cinnamon, which makes me hungry! I bought a lip balm, too, because I need about 200 of those around me in every bag, purse, etc... I am still working my way through this VERY large bar of lavender soap which has natural scrub things in it that a friend gave me for Christmas. It was made in France and is lovely...but HUGE...good thing I love Lavender!

Jonni - How is your mom going to display the cool wooden scoop she bought at Wilm's shop? Which 'flavors' of soap did you buy besides peppermint? Did Jus like the peppermint? David actually noticed soap this time - LOL!

Whew!!! I'm back among the land of the living!!! I know now, girls, how Miss Wilma gets all that she gets done...well, DONE!!! She never sleeps, girls...never. Nor does her sweet mother, or daddy. I secretly think Miss Wilma, her momma and daddy are otherworldly, sent from above (angels?) and just don't have to rest...

My mother and I had such a wonderful weekend, and Miss Wilma and her family were so kind to us, and made us feel so welcome. Thanks, Miss Wilma for opening your home mom and I to stay the night (3 hours doesn't seem like a lot to drive, but to do it then turn around and do it again, can be daunting!!!)...The orchard sale was just lovely...and, for those of you wondering, it really IS an orchard! I ate my way through the cherries and the plums, and wished to goodness those grapes were ready!!!! It's a wonder Miss Wilma has any fruit left, after I came through!

The day was picture perfect, though they'd gotten a little rain before we came (up north, we've had rain for 2 days solid) and I got some wonderful things. I took some really good photos before the batteries in my camera died (yep, leave it to me!), and I will post them when I get a moment this evening. I got to meet Gabby, Miss Wilma's neighbor who's had such troubles lately, and she's just a wonder--what a lovely gal! And, of course, the farmgirls...Lainey (yay!), Luna (yay!!), Janice (yay!!!) and of course, the lovely Kayla and her family (Kayla, I could just take your littlest brother home in a mini-second!!!)...girls..you haven't known talent until you meet Kayla and her kin. Amazing...I'll post some photos of them playing some music, and all the folks watchin' and tappin' toes! Thanks again for the Rocky Road to Dublin--One of my all time favorites! Sure did miss Jessica, and honorary Kentucky girls, Carol Sue and Ronna, though...One day soon, one day soon!!!!

Everyone was so welcoming, and we made a nice new friend in HannahElise, a German lady, who lives in Charlotte, NC and is a dealer, making her way through Kentucky and back down through Tennessee before heading home with her treasures. She was a joy!!! I helped her book her room to stay at Shakertown (hope she's having a wonderful time there...)

Oh my....I could go on and on...but I think I'll let some other gals speak up about their time. I came home last night and immediately started in the garden, picking potatoes and onions, and the last of the peas, and then washed and halved the beans that we picked at dusk at Miss Wilma's...that's going to be supper tomorrow--just need to get a little ham-hock and we're a "go".

Then, I promptly fell asleep!! I bet Miss Wilma hasn't slept yet!!!
