I realized the other day that my second son (my last "homemade kid" before we adopted 5 more so my last "baby") had graduated in '98...10 YEARS ago. oh my.

Happy 30th birthday, Julie! I'm a couple of decades (almost) ahead of you, but I can honestly say that my 30's were my most favorite years ever! I sure hope you will thoroughly enjoy yours as well!

Happy Birthday Julie! I turn 29 this month, and it IS weird! I still feel about 18 or 19.

30 is the new 20, so I hear. ;)

Happy 30th, trust me the older you get the better it gets. Here's a good one here, in NY we get carded no matter what your age. It used to be if you looked under 30. Not it's any age. Took the fun right out of it!!

Happy birthday, Julie. I liked turning 30 and I still got carded. It doesn't happen anymore but I sure enjoyed it then.

I am 45 and more comfy in my own skin then ever............Still feel young enough to be a little mischievious (although some may say, "old enough to know better")... I really think I must be related to the lady in the "someday I will wear purple" poem.. as I see myself in her (LOL)...

When I am an old woman I shall wear purple with a red hat which doesn't go and doesn't suit me. And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves And satin sandals, and say we've no money for butter. I shall sit down on the pavement when I'm tired And gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells And run my stick along the public railings And make up for the sobriety of my youth. I shall go out in my slippers in the rain And pick the flowers in other people's gardens . . . And learn to spit. You can wear terrible shirts and grow more fat and eat three pounds of sausages at a go Or only bread and pickle for a week And hoard pens and pencils and beermats and things in boxes. But now we must have clothes that keep us dry and pay our rent and not swear in the street And set a good example for the children. We must have friends to dinner and read the papers. But maybe I ought to practice a little now? So people who know me are not too shocked and surprised When suddenly I am old, and start to wear purple.

Happy 30th! Enjoy - I remember hitting 30 and thinking I'm not that old. Now my girls remind me that I'm going to be "92" soon. (It's a joke in my family about me being 90 and little belle tells everyone how old I am.)

I'm 28, I still feel 19 or 20 ... I can't believe I am going to get to 30 .. it doesn't seem real. Have a happy birthday when you get there! :D You are in your prime! And if you still feel in your 20's .. all the better! Think about when you are 40 (well, maybe not, but..) you will feel 30! lol.

Julie, congrats!! I enjoyed my 30th birthday too, as well as my 40th. The only one that really bothered me was my 25th and I don't know why really. I hope you have a great birthday!

I hear ya!! 30 was a good year for me...now I'm 34 (going on 35) and I still feel wonderful! Hope it's the same for you.

I still get carded, too, and that's a GREAT boost for the ego!
