had a really fun day today with grandson lucas who is six. we travelled up to dearborn, michigan to see the henry ford museum complex. never did get to the 'car museum' (spent most of the day at the 'village' .. 300 years of american history(so they say) ..you need at least two days to see all of this place. lucas had never been to an IMAX threatre ... so we also chose to see KUNG FU PANDA (my second viewing ..his third) in IMAX. it was fun!

got a little hot in the afternoon .. but luckily the storm waited until we left and were on our way home.

i love visiting places like this all over the u.s.

Glad you had a great day, Lucas is one lucky little boy. Sounds like the both of you had a lot of fun. Wishing you both many more days like this one.
Take care,

It's never too late to be what you might have been.

Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

Daughter and family used to live in Dearborn. Henry Ford Museum is one of the BEST places to see!!! Never did make it to the River Rouge tour, though. Took my then 6 y/o grandson to see "Polar Express" at IMAX there. Had a wonderful time watching him enjoy the movie. I bet Lucas had a great time with you! Not sure where Green County, Kentucky, is but the Air Force museum near Dayton, Ohio, is another fantastic place to visit--and FREE :-)!!! I agree with you that visiting places like this all over the country is a treat.

I grew up going there! I have lots of good memories of the village too. (I'm originally from Toledo) Too fun!
