Hello!!
For those of you who know and remember me, you know that I have been REALLY wanting to move away from here (Okinawa, Japan)!! At one point it looked like we would be able to go to VT and I was so thrilled, but it fell through... Well we are finally moving, and though it is not to New England like I hoped, and though I may or may not be able to have a hobby farm right now, I am still thrilled... I am moving to GERMANY!!!! We will try to buy something with enough space for a hobby farm, but if not I am still so excited to be able to live over there and expierence all that I can! And the kids and DH are really excited too!! So I just wanted to share my happy news!!!

Thanks for stopping by!
And as always,
Hugz!!!

Wish we could all be there to Help Pumpkin! Moving someone else doesn't seem quite as daunting as moving your own stuff! Actually can be fun even! (Especially if we get to plunder through thier things!) So you'll just have to take some great pictures for us all.. Sort of a Farm Girl Moving Journal for us as if we were with you each step of the way!

Good Luck.. Don't over do it.. & remember.. have fun!!!

Lots of Love!

My "sister-friend" is from Leverkusen, Germany--it's nice there...that is soooo cool that you get to experience a variety of cultures. First Japan, now Germany. Wow! Enjoy it!!!

How exciting is that! My great aunt is from Germany and one of my dear college friends' grandmas was from Germany. And my brother was able to visit over there on a farm tour while in college. Very interesting country with lots of history. I cannot wait to hear about your adventures and see photos.

Good luck with the move!

Janice,
I have seen really nice train set ups like what you described in magazines and I think they are lovely. I have often thought of doing something like that with my DS.

I like several German dishes, but am looking forward to trying more!

I think it is wonderful when one can try and enjoy another culture! And I am so looking forward to trying all I can while I am there!!

While my dh was in Germany, he developed a love for Lehmann toy trains, which are made there. They are called 'G' scale(very large) and are run in beautifully landscaped gardens there. He still only collects European style trains. The addition on our farmhouse will have a room for his Lehmann trains. And of course, he still loves German food more than any other kind.

Janice,
...really? I went to Germany once back in I think 1984 and have not been there since but really liked what I saw and everyone I know who has been there really enjoyed it which is always comforting to know! I am really looking forward to it!
Thank You!!

Karin,

LOL... yes I know what you mean!! I am hoping for my own little "farmette" at least but will have to wait and see if it is possible. But I am sure I will be supporting many farmers there!! And you all know how I love fruit and I hear there is plenty there and nice and fresh from farms!!! Oh joy!! Thank you so much for all the good luck crossing!!! It means the world!

Congratulations! My husband also, was stationed in Germany when he was in the Air Force and he tells us how great it was there. When he retires we plan on going there for an extended vacation. Who knows? Maybe we'll move there for keeps. My fathers' family had strong German roots and so I guess it would be kinda like returning home again.Good luck with the move and yes, please post pictures of your new home.
