Posted - Jun 22 2008 : 8:45:17 PM wednesday and i watched this film tonight. wouldn't it be fun to be in a 'jane austen book club'! i would love to start one with local kentucky women reading the Janice Holt Giles books .. we could all go visit her home too!
hey .. any of you kentucky gurlz interested? if so .. e-mail me ... don't have to be a farmgirl to participate .. ask any friends that you think would be interested. we could meet each month to discuss one of her books. i'll start a heading for this too .. and when i get home .. i'll see if i can interest any other local girls in doing this. would be great to do this through our local library!

Posted - Jun 30 2008 : 07:51:14 AM Frannie,
Tony and I just watched that movie last week (my pick). I picked it up because I started reading Emma. My sister got the book for me last Christmas - while I was on a mission to set my brother up with a great girl that I know. My nickname was Emma the whole time my sister was visiting from LA.
I love book clubs, and if I were local to you, I'd love to do it!

Posted - Jun 24 2008 : 07:54:38 AM Hi Frannie ~ Was the movie any good? I tried and tried to read the book, but just couldn't get into it, which is unusual for me. Maybe if I see the movie first, I can try to reread the book. Also, off topic, I haven't gotten any emails from you in a long while. Are you still emailing? Maybe I fell off your list!
