Hi Ladies!

Wow! Time is flying! Lots of things are getting done around here and much more to come!!

The garage sale went great and I have even MORE stuff to go to Salvation army. I think I am going to have to make them a daily stop from here on out.

We are still working through all the paperwork to rent an apartment in Billings. We applied at a special place that is a Tax Credit property so there is a silly amount of red tape paperwork to file.

I am dividing the work into two stages. Packing while Nora is awake and paiting while she is asleep. Cleaning is going to have to happen last. I took some time today to get my ironing done and hung up. I hope it doesn't come undone in the move! I love how crisp the starch makes the aprons!

Doug is leaving Saturday, I am having lunch with friends both Monday and Tuesday, and we will be driving back Wednesday all day. Hopefully all silliness with renting the apartment will be signed and sealed by then so I can just unload and say "ah!" I will probably cancel our internet access Tuesday so after Tuesday I will try to update you all via coffee shops and such along the way!

Good to hear from you Alee! You were the first person I think I responded to a post on this website and I have been "chatting it up" ever since thanks to your welcoming words! I hope the trip continues to go smoothly and safely and that your apartment is waiting for you when you get there! We all miss you around here!

Hi Ladies!

Rebekka- Sorry we missed each other. I will ship you your goodies as soon as we settle. Things just got crazy-

Luna- Sorry to hear that you have been having drama. PS- I'll add you to my blog as soon as I can.

Things have been VERY crazy. Our house had more stuff than I imagined and of course needed a thorough cleaning. The check-out lady came about 2 hours late (which ended up being a good thing) but it meant we got on the road about 2 pm Moscow time. Ugh. After being up until about 3am the night before. Double Ugh. But the good thing is...I get all my deposit back! The cleaning check-out lady said that there would be no need for her to come back to clean so we would get our deposit back. Ultra Double Yay!

The Driving went well. We traded drivers about half way through and are staying at a hotel in Butte. Tomorrow we finish the journey with the hope that there will be an apartment waiting for us when we get there. Right now we are still in "processing". I'll update more when I can!

I don't know how I missed that you were moving. (I've been wrapped up in my own little drama here). Moving is probably top of the list of hard and stressful events of life. Packing and sorting and saying goodbye in so many ways. Remember to rest and breathe. I still haven't figured out the whole story, but it sounds exciting and full of promise. All good things to you and the family.

Thanks ladies!

Yesterday my wonderful parents helped so much! We all worked our selves pretty hard. You should have seen the lot of us. We got a bit goofy as we were working on painting the bathroom. We sat down afterwards and we were all falling asleep just sitting on the couches. Today we are getting the moving truck so it will all move so much faster now! It will be great to have stuff leaving the house. To have it being put on the truck will be great!!

Alee- go to the store and get apple and banana boxes. That is what we used- the are big, have padding and they have handles and covers and are sturdy and we got them all for free. Go early in the morning.

Sure thing Sherri! I can't wait to meet up with you in Montana!!

Packing and cleaning has made progress by leaps and bounds. By this time tomorrow night everything should be in boxes...that is if we can get enough from the recycling center. If not I might be forced to buy a bundle from U-haul even though I hate to do that just for packing. Life is good and the munchkin has had her bath and is in bed so now the real work day begins and my house might actually be partially presentable when my parents arrive! LOL I told my mom "Don't be terrified when you see the state of my apartment" She said "That's okay, I am used to the way your room looked"...not very encouraging, eh? LOL Oh well. The bedroom is clean and is going to get it's carpet shampooed here in an hour or so just to make sure that it is nice and clean. Dishes will have to wait till tomorrow morning I suppose.

Hi Ladies!

Wow, packing is hard work. I am so tired right now, but in such a good way! Nora and I waved Doug off onto the road this morning/afternoon and I had a huge grin on my face. It's real. No turning back now! Doug is on his way to a new job, and my parents are more than halfway here to help me finish up my packing. Doug has had some pretty nasty car accidents either coming up to Idaho or going on road trips around Idaho so he was pretty nervous about driving the whole way himself. I know he will be fine, but he was a bit off balance leaving. I think he was more upset to say good-bye to Nora and me than we were to see him hit the road! LOL.

It will be so lovely to have our little family reunited in a few days, but it won't be long over the big scheme of things. I didn't sleep well last night and I have lots of work to get done tonight before my parents come. I'll try to update at least one more time before the internet disconnect.

*hugs*

Good luck Alee! Packing can be hard work, (I've moved 16 times, and it never gets any easier, phew!) but you'll make it, no worries. Have a safe drive :)
