I couldn't believe it. This morning, around 8 am, I looked outside and there were fluffy snowflakes tumbling out of the sky! Good grief! Would sure love to paint our house and get our yard in order, but this weather is rediculous!

Hugs & Blessings,

Brenda

Okay....Im a little freaked out too!!! Except it was the opposite! It was 115 here yesterday!!!! Um... I live ten miles from the beach on the central coast of CA! It just NEVER gets that hot. We MAY get an 85 90 day in August but normally daily (Year round) temps are mild-around 70. A little scary.

That being said I need to get my bum off the computer chair and go outside and work in the garden before it gets to hot!

I think we've turned the corner with the weather. It was beautiful up here yesterday and the forecast is now for normal and above normal weather! Even with this stretch of weird weather I wouldn't trade it for the heat and humidity that other parts of the country have been getting. JoAnn

I have video of yesterday morning in Bonner, MT of SNOW!! Just a few days before we were in PA and the heat/humidity about sucked the life out of me.

I tried to post the snow video on another site but I did something wrong and I'll have to redo it when I have time.

My hubby has been joking to his friends that on this trip, we have had every sort of weather except for locusts (which isn't weather but you know what I mean). We had tornados in NE even!!

The weatehr this year is STRANGE!!

Girls you should have seen me yesterday morning running around with towels, sheets, sarongs- anything to get my little tomatoes covered in time! We got about a half inch on the ground here and my garden is not looking so great. My poor comfrey plant is three and a half feet tall with the most amazing purple flowers and the snow just layed it out flat..I wonder if I should cut it all back now.
What a weird winter- extending into June! My husband has decided to call it Junuary.

I CANNOT believe the weather!! Some folks are getting broiled alive, and the rest of us are freezing our tootsies off!!

I was just thinking about this as I was lying in bed last night...right before I drifted off I thought how CRAZY it is that I had both heaters running in the middle of June...while listening to the rain hitting the roof.

It NEVER rains in Boise in June, unless it's a summer thunder storm. And usually it reaches 100 degrees by mid-May. Our tulips actually had an extended season this spring, where as USUALLY the die off within a couple weeks of blooming, due to the ungodly heat we normally have.

And yes. The foothills DID get SNOW last night. Shall we re-open the ski resorts?!?!

GRR I want it to be summer!!!

My daycare provider told me this morning that WA could see a foot of snow. Is that true girls!? Still snow in June is just CRAZY! We weren't too sticky hot in IN yesterday and I've heard it's not supposed to be miserable today either, but if it was I think I'd be heading for your neck of the woods.
I hope Mother Nature gives ya'll a break soon.

Snow in June is unheard of here in Spokane as far as I ever remember . . . I have always lived here! I really would like to have a day or two of the warm weather some of you girls are talking of. With all the rain here, we can't get anything done. I have a ton of yardwork to do, flowers still patiently waiting to be planted, a house to paint and lawn furniture to paint. Just need a dry day. The forecast says maybe by Thursday, so my fingers are crossed.

Hugs & blessings,

Brenda

As I am about ready to faint from cleaning out the chicken pen in 90+ degree weather, I would gladly take a bit of snow falling. Only for a day or two though. I like my garden plants unfrozen.

I would trade you your snow for our 100 degree weather!!!! Either way though...it's tough to get stuff done.

How unusual is snow at this time of the year in Spokane, Brenda? I remember snow/sleet/hail one year here in Louisville for the Kentucky Derby on the first Saturday in May. But the 15th. of May is the usual last day for danger of frost here.
