Posted - Jun 04 2008 : 1:01:40 PM We had a tornado touch down here , It missed part of where we live The lighting and thuder was terrifying It shook the whole house ; I thought that it struck something here Heard fire trucks going down our street It did quite a bit of damage to one of our collages here and some of the houses around it I don't believe anyone was hurt which is good news We use to never have those and now we get them more often I am glad it didn't strike us Pinkroses

Posted - Jun 06 2008 : 01:01:29 AM That must have been so scary. I am so glad you are ok. We got a tornado here in Southern California about 2 weeks ago which is very odd. It blew over a train and a semi truck on the freeway. The weather has been very freaky lately all over!

Posted - Jun 04 2008 : 2:29:42 PM Hasn't the weather been weird this year? It was cool and rainy all day here in the desert yesterday. Last night we had a mild thunderstorm go through the area. Penny the Pooch was really upset with it, but otherwise I didn't even see any lightning.
Today the weather is all sunny and breezy. I've mowed the lawn and picked a huge container of ripe strawberries. I have frozen four containers and that is going to be good for winter. Hope to put more by still and share the rest with the neighbors.

Posted - Jun 04 2008 : 1:04:45 PM I'm glad no one was hurt, Sheila. We get tornadoes (usually during May) here in Kentucky, although this season it seems like we had mostly just warnings and not a lot of those.
