Posted - Jun 01 2008 : 1:15:57 PM I have been trying to lose this 40# that some meds put on me a few years ago to no avail - until now! I put on a pair of pants this morning that I haven't worn in a while and they keep falling down! I got a little excited and decided to step on the scale; all the while telling myself I'm imagining things (I've done this before). The scale says I've lost 11#!!!! I'm not imagining that! I thought my jeans felt looser on Friday when I put them on but I just fluffed it off and didn't give it another thought.
I'm finally on my way, girls! This means the residue from those meds is finally out of my system. I'm dancing like the gopher from Caddy Shack

Posted - Jun 01 2008 : 2:26:12 PM I don't really have a secret, Tammy. I have been very careful about portions for the past 3 years (that's when the meds put all this weight on me) and I've always been active. I hike all over these mountains, hunt in the fall and take brisk walks and work in the yard and garden every day (who says digging, shoveling, raking, mowing, planting, wheelbarrowing, moving rocks and pulling weeds isn't exercise?). I was told it would not start coming off until all the residues worked their way out of my system. It took a long time and was very discouraging at times, but now it's finally paying off. Woohoo!
