Last week I really wrecked my knee and then fell down and smashed my knee again and my shoulder. So I have been taking it easy, I decided to sort out my buttons. I didn't realize just how many buttons I had ferreted away in my home, most in nasty old tins, I had to wash a lot of buttons. That sounds so stupid, but they smell funny after being in ld reusty tins for years. I went down cellar and lugged up some old canning jars and anything else I could find that had a lid.
Nancy Jo told me to check out her blog to see what kind of jars she'd put her buttons in, I forgot about clicking on the picture to get the BIG view of all the wonders in Nancy Jo's sewing room and attic. Such fun to see all the bits and pieces and the lovely embroidered items nicely arranged on shelves.
I have finished sorting buttons. I need to find a couple more jars. I took Pictures of the ones I had finished, that would be yesterday, and the buttons have eaten my camera's cable (well, maybe it was the cats)(and then again maybe it was me) which has been driving me nuts...I can't put any pictures up.
Tonight, in between sewing and watching the Red Sox, I'll be digging deep in the mess of old tins and still unjarred buttons. I just have to show you my buttons, it is so funny to me, I have about ten, well maybe twenty times , more buttons than I thought i had. I found a few really bizarre little ones...
