Posted - May 25 2008 : 07:24:05 AM I took a few pictures for my site, a beautiful hand embroidered tablecloth, old canning jars. I also got but didn't take a picture of, a nice bag of buttons and an old red handled cookie cutter. NANCY JO

Posted - May 25 2008 : 10:27:45 AM What a wonderful tablecloth, and you are absolutely right, doesn't do any good hiding in a drawer. I love to use my tableclothsthey really cheer me up. Those canning jars are fabulous too. I've been on this button sorting marathon for several days, because I really ruined my leg digging holes, so this is my therapy. It is kind of overwhelming finding all these buttons I forgot I had, but I'm enjoying the sorting process..I keep having to go down cellar hunting up canning jars to stuff them in.
I try to avoid yard sales, but yesterday I hit a rel winner, doilies, green pottery, granted one of those is a jade green cat (50 cents) with a big hole in the butt to put yr flowers in. It is vaguely upsetting, but I love the color. They had a huge old steamer trunk, covered in this nice greenish fabric and perfect inside, but the chances on getting that into my car and then out of it and trying to wedge it in the house seemed too much to accomplish. It was only $5 but there was no way I could have it. I'm sure it has found a good home somewhere. I also got an old aluminum cake pan with the top that clips on, it has a little carrying handle,
I REALLY HAVE TO TAKE SOME PICTURES TODAY. I'LL PUT THAT ON MY TO DO LIST, RIGHT NOW I'M TAKING A BREAK FROM GARDENING AND WATCHING THE RED SOX BLOW ANOTHER GAME.I am trying to make a little rock path to the backyard, but I keep getting distracted. It is so lovely here today, hope you are all enjoying the day...Karin

Posted - May 25 2008 : 08:33:20 AM Good stuff, Nancy!!! I wonder if that tablecloth was in their family, or if they bought it and then didn't use it...either way, silly folks for getting rid of it, but a boon to you!!!
Great old canning jars!
